80's SANYO M-W22 Boombox Sound Test

Today I have received this video on my KZbin again. I am the happy owner of this great boom box in Mexico. After four years, this great machine is working perfectly fine. I had taken good care of it. Even protecting it from direct sunlight exposure. Thanks Teddy for a great job!

OMG- my first boom box. I got this thing around 1985 and figured out how to do layered “multitrack” recordings by playing back deck A and recording on to deck B. You could also get either the recording or playback decks to go to “high speed dubbing” while still using the built in microphones to create sped up “chipmunks” recordings or slowed down super radio announcer voices. I ended up becoming a musician and recording engineer and probably owe a lot of that initial spark to this dual cassette deck! Thanks for the video.

like usually,a great job,and,a question,i have a JVC Biphonic 838,i´ve read what hard to fix and disarm is this boombox.you have some next to fix?,i will love to see how much hard is this JVC.

Hi there. I have the same boombox. I think the tape deck on side blue is stuck in the play position. I can't fit a tape In there and the red side sounds like a chip Munk? Help please !!

I think you need to clean the deck and replace all belts. The reason the play head stuck in the play position because the belt is broken, and bad sound from others, belt is worn out.

It was intended to reduce resonance in the thin plastic walls. But Dynamat works better. I have achieved better bass in many 80's boomboxes by installing Dynamat.
