This is similar to what Kristjan Qullamaggie, a famous swing trader does. He buys on the breakout and then sets his stop at the bottom of the candle. In his case, it's a day chart, so he sets his stop at the low of the day he buys. After 3-5 days, if the stock is still going up, he raises his stop to break even. Applying that here, if you're on a five minute chart, and you get an elephant candle, set your stop to the bottom of that candle. After three more 5 minute bars appear to the upside, move your stop to break even. This keeps losses very light.

Here's a tip, on Tradingview, after you add your 20SMA, if you enable the default smoothing average of 5 within its settings, each time they cross it signals a reversal. Not as powerful of course as the elephant bar or the long tail bar, but a good way to setup alerts that a cross has happened.

This works. Its so stupid simple that you will be sceptical at first but when you start paying attention on chart you will see. Four weeks ago when I first started to watch Olivers videos I was looking at my charts at the same time and what he was talking about started to happening on chart in real time video after video, day after day ,at this point I knew he knows what he’s talking about. I wish to add that the one distinguishing factor is the amount of losses or profit on a net basis rather than no of trades win. For example if you lose all money in one bar out of 10 wiping out all profit then no of trades alone does not matter

The 1 bar loss concept is interesting. The only issue I see is if a bar is long and the subsequent ones are very short before going below the first bar, then it'll take a few wins to cover that 1 bar loss

This is a very winner set up. But if you are on the step1 or trying to graduate, the stop is too far away. You will get so many MLPD that when you proft, you will just pay the loss or less. In this case the stop should be more tight. That s what I have seen so far.
