I have lots of Facebook friends all over the world, whom I haven't met in person. They are part of my life; I would be lonelier without them as I am working from home and my kids are grown-up and have their own lives now. You do not have to throw out the baby with the bath water (Swedish proverb). You just have to use your common sense. No. We couldn’t ALL fall for this. I wouldn’t. I’m 75 now but when I was on dating sites for many years I was contacted by a lot of scammers but I saw right through them, even before they got to asking for money. It’s a BIG RED FLAG when a man asks a woman for money!
