I'm glad you've taken the time to put together this channel. I started reselling ebay last year, and just started Amazon FBA for books last week. I just discovered you and I'm watching a lot of your videos because I find them very helpful and I find you entertaining. Thanks again for the content

Hi Manny, I just found you on KZbin. I’ve been wanting to sell books on Amazon for a while but I was afraid. 1) of the process 2) I’m not tech savvy. I have decided, to no longer walk in fear. I love books, CD’s, vinyl. My question is where do I start?. Would you be interested in being my Mentor?.
@MannysBookBag2 жыл бұрын
The very best place to begin is at the source. If I had to begin this journey today, I would start with the Amazon account opening process and their tutorials on Amazon seller university. Everything you need to know is there to establish a workflow. Supplement that knowledge base with KZbin and Facebook amazon book seller groups such as the book flipper group. Remember that There will always be something to fear, so just get started.

Manny do you still resurface CDs and DVDs and do you still use these 2 devices, Can you do a new update to the process. Are CDs still viable to sell on Amazon. Thanks.
@MannysBookBag3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes, I’m still using both Eco-pro’s without issue. CD’s are still 1/3 of my business, and I’d say they’ve been really good to be in. Definitely still a very viable category for us.

@@MannysBookBag Thanks for the reply but indulge me one more question. I have not pulled the trigger on CDs yet but have been collecting them from bulk buys and individual scanning and I have about 3000+ CD's, 200+ DVD's and 100+ video games that fit the criteria that you have stated some will go on AZ and some on eBay and other sites. Do you think that the JFJ alone would work well enough for the $300 investment? A Smallish seller here trying to watch my budget.
@MannysBookBag3 жыл бұрын
@@johndriver7260 If I had it to do over, I would not have bought the JFJ and jumped straight to the Eco pro. I know it’s a sizable jump, but I think the JFJ was a waste of money due to how long each disc takes to clean. I would go right to the EP2 or just send in CD’s that were good enough without polishing until I could buy the better machine. The eco pro will pay for itself very quickly.

Awesome video. How can i find out if Im able to sell cds on Amazon? I already sell books. Thank you.
@MannysBookBag6 жыл бұрын
Jamie Mac Neil new sellers will all be gated from the music category. The way to see if you are would be to try and lost a cd in seller central. If you don’t get a yellow “sell yours” box, you should see the link that shows which limitations apply.

How do you list the condition of ex library. With stickers on the artwork And the CD itself. Can they still be listed in good condition?
@MannysBookBag2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. They can be listed in good or acceptable condition as long as you let the buyer know. Just beware. Many libraries will place the discs in plastic cases and print their own artwork. In this case, you’ll want to list it in acceptable condition with the notation that original artwork and liner notes not included.

Hello Manny, Thank you for the great videos. I was wondering, do you shrink wrap your CDs, place them in clear polybags or send them without any extra packaging?
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
tomtelliermail I used to ship them in poly bags. Now, I send them in naked with a small piece of tape as a closure. I'll poly bag the paper finished CD's because placing tape on them will result in damage to the case when it's removed.

Manny I have found a few OOP CD's that should sell for high dollar. Some are still new in their original shrink wrap. Do you protect this with anything to make sure the jewel case in not damaged?
@MannysBookBag6 жыл бұрын
John Driver if shipping FBA, no. I don’t do anything special for any CD except ensure I pack the box super tight so nothing moves. I also never sell them new. Some sellers do, but I only sell them in used condition.

Good info thx for sharing. Manny do you sell video games and do you resurface them with these machines? And is there a cheaper model machine that you would recommend to get me started?
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
John Driver nice question. Yes, I also send in video games. I've repaired plenty of PlayStation, Wii, and XBOX360 games with it successfully. If you source the games with all artwork and booklets, selling them as Very Good and occasionally like new is pretty easy to do.
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
John Driver also as far as models, I've also used the JFJ Easy Pro. It's much less expensive compared to the Eco, and it does the job. The Eco resurfaces in 30 seconds, and that's the advantage. Each disc can easily take 3 minutes in the JFJ. It will run around $130, but you can also find the occasional machine on an eBay listing.
@ifxgamer7 жыл бұрын
John Driver nice video. i have a question both machines do the job one takes longer (cheaper) and the other is faster ... the machine do the same results at the end?
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
ifxgamer on most discs, the machines are comparable. I find the Eco Pro outperforms the JFJ on these types of discs but it gives the same performance without the mess and the JFJ will sometimes leave swirl marks on the disc. For discs with deep scratches, the JFJ has the advantage of being able to use coarse and fine sanding discs. The Eco isn't going to remove the truly deep scratching.

Great Vid! Would you be so kind as to share your FBAScan criteria for video games and DVDs? Is it the same criteria as you explained for CDs? Thanks for all your help!
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
Estopheles Gray thank you for following the channel. I'm not eligible to sell DVD's on Amazon, but I've done well with video games. My basic criteria is is to list for $15 with a rank under 20k. This is great if cost is $1-2. On occasion, I'll come across some great games selling for over $20. If the ranks are good, I'm willing to pay $5 for those.

Manny do you seal your CD's in anyway and if not have you had any problems with them coming open in the warehouses and getting damaged?
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
John Driver I do not bag them, but I do use a small strip of tape to keep them shut. This is just a precaution, since I change out 99% of the jewel cases.
@johndriver72607 жыл бұрын
One last question. I know you use FBAscan do you also use their listing software? I see how fast you list these and want to cut down my time with the listing process.
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
John Driver I only use Inventory Lab for listing. My listing and inventory management are all handled st the same time. What saves time is the workflow - a hands free desktop scanner, boilerplate condition notes, default pricing, and labeling in batches instead of one at a time. Takes no time, and I go back that evening or next morning to apply a real price to the items.
@johndriver72607 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Default pricing is interesting. I could see separating piles by price point and or condition is that what you mean?
@MannysBookBag7 жыл бұрын
John Driver actually, default pricing is sending everything in at the same price to power through listing. This is really helpful when I need to get out from in front of my computer. I send in all items as $399, and I follow up on the pricing within a day. I can list and ship at night or early morning while the girls are asleep in no time, and this let's me go right back out and source in the morning.
