800hp/1000Nm BMW E39 M5 Single Turbo V8 Tires Slayer by Geos Drift Team!

Here is another video from the first of the 2019 Drift Kings Europe series at Castelletto Circuit, and it's about Marco Zakouřil's mighty BMW E39 M5 drift monster. The 5.0 S62B50 V8 engine has been combined with a BorgWarner turbocharger and it's now able to produce around 800hp and 1000Nm of torque.

I've met the guy and he's as crazy, carefree and funny as he looks. Although I mostly talked to his team manager, I still got to meet him. His skill, style, aggressiveness and car are amazing, breathtaking even. That car's backfire's just crazy, I swear it sounds like thunder. He was at a drifting event in my country, Romania. Marco Zakouřil. Great guy!

its not salvage, its a thing in eu drift series, also placing radiator with fuel cell in back is common in drifting, and you have to cut whole rear end

Idk... But I suspect that they may have made it mid engine for better weight distribution. Just a guess. Going by the way the rear looks more like an engine cover.

Wouldn't make any sense for a drift car to be mid engine. Although it's a good idea for a track car, it doesn't help with any of the handling qualities drifters would look for. Not to mention the fact that the chassis is not meant for mid engine, would lead to some seriously weird handling. If anything, it removes weight from the rear, and has the vents for a radiator.

@@alexgehl8691 I see exactly what you mean. Upon a closer look (I zoomed in and slowed down the video) I could see 2 huge radiator fans in the rear, much like the ones in a stadium truck. Almost the same setup. Yeah, you're right about the mid engine setup. When he pulls out of the paddock I got a glimpse. You can see it thru the loovers and thru the rear spoiler.
