My first ham transmitter was a 6AG7 on 40 meters. 4 watts to a long wire. Amazingly it gave contacts all over the US and Canada. That was around 60 years ago. Thanks for the old memories.

The 807 was originally designed to be a transmitting tube but they were also used in the deflection amplifiers of early TV receivers.
