I loved that you and Millie took us to as many places on board that you did but, apart from the glitz and the glam of which there WAS a lot of, I found myself feeling jaded by the sheer number of things that a regular cruiser would have to pay for and I've come to the conclusion that the whole thing was overpriced and really unrealistic for an ordinary family bringing a couple of kids along for a short holiday. Seriously, $18 for a milkshake and $800 for a cabana for the day is blinking mad! I understand that as Suite guests you are upgraded and most extras are free but I do feel frustrated for families who might need to say no to an ice cream for their kids because of the expense. The woman who acted as your butler must have great leg muscles! Nice to see Millie again too and I thought she looked lovely too!
@lauraqueentint9 ай бұрын

I hate to be the bitch but if you cant afford the "basic" ammenities for your kids you should prooooobably wait for such an expensive cruise til they're old enough understand why you say no. Brother from across the pond, thanks for posting!!! I love your videos... that being said, Royal Caribbean does a great job making normal people feeling like 2nd class folks! I have been cruising for 24 years. I am a blue collared worker who does what I can to provide a decent vacation for my family. Cruising used to be great, making everyone on board feeling like royalty! Now, they cater to the wealthy and make everyone else feel like 2nd class people! My last cruise was on the allure of the seas last year. It will be my last cruise. This video proves why! My cruise cost me 2100 dollars to book... we had a balcony family stateroom. 4 of us... the feeling on the ship was like we were unwanted because we were not of the desired class. This video shows me that royal caribbean has doubled down and flat prevented the middle class from even getting on the boat! I have been on 15 cruises, all but one was royal caribbean, and it is sad what has happened to these experiences!
@99TJS18 ай бұрын
I mean this is a channel where he shows us what the upper class options are. RC are definitely among the most $$$ of the cruise lines but there certainly still are slightly more affordable options. This is just not the right KZbin channel to research said options.
@bitmanagent678 ай бұрын
Not just RC doing this. Every major company is trying to appeal to the wealthy by price gouging. Cars, trucks, electronics, hotels, cruises. restaurants, flights. It is everywhere. The pandemic showed that even when things are scarce there is still a demographic who will buy regardless. That is who they want as customers. To add, those workers live in the hot, cramped bowels of that ship for months at a time. Most really don't care who you are or what you do for a living. But for those premium services, the guest facing employees must be extra courteous.

Most cruise ships, even the hulkingly large ones, still have a certain aesthetic elegance about them this one looks like someone said ‘let’s take the absolute worst aspects of the Vegas strip and put it on a boat.’ If that wasn’t enough, the nickel and dime approach to chiseling their customers really was a bit of a turnoff. It won’t be long before you will have to pay $2 to use the toilet, $1 for toilet paper, $1.50 for soap and water to wash your hands and a $5 tip to be let out of Kafka of the Seas public restrooms. If I was on that ship, I’d feel weirdly compelled not to leave my room. That said, the video production was absolutely top notch and I always appreciate living vicariously through your many adventures. :)

To think we were once smashing rocks together making fire. Now have made these gigantic ships purely for entertainment, mind boggling! Great video!

Hey Will, new subscriber here. This was fascinating to me. This ship was huge! I used to work on a very small (crew compliment 15, max guest compliment 60) cruise ship in Alaska. Our ship was like 1/30th of this ship's size. Knowing what I know and what can happen, I said I would never go on a cruise. But this ship has me changing my mind. The amenities are staggering and your review and portrayal of it are well done. Thanks. 😇
