Takes me back too a kid 12 13 something like that growing up in poplar east London in the late 70s early 80s going too the blues house down the road with my older brother buy a 1pound draw lol anyone remember that...anyways our mother would come looking for us but it was all dark and smokey and people warned us she there....lol she never caught us trust me...lol good times good good memories too all them good people of poplar bless... thanks for making me the man I became, ....

Your comment made me 🤭sir 👍,was best times in early 80s going to clubs etc as a ni-it-all ,thought looked soon cool with my jeans with yellow piping down sides ,a badly Permed hairstyle that refused to curl on my dead straight hair oh and ca n't forget the stilettoes that couldn't walk in 🤦🤪,but omg danced round my handbag with mates at aged 15-16yrs ,with my older sisters ID( just in case got asked ,never did lol!) Oh happy times with great reggae legends like my Gregory (,who see live 85 reggae sunsplash crystal palace ) ,am 45min outer your fine city ,and family in kilburn ,Wembley ,Brentford , happy memories going in train to kilburn n going to luv on a corner near my aunt's flats n the piano would be pounded in with us kids outside (6-8yr) with bottle coke n salt n vinegar crisps thrown out at us every now n then n my uncle always gives us a pound NOTE ,not a coin 🤣bless you with 💖🤣🎶🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥😇💜

Growing up in the 70's and 80's (the cream of reggae era), now its all artificial crap, Gregory, Slim Smith, Denis and others would (quite rightly) be spinning n their graves, God bless the BEST reggae era. Reminds me of parties I attended as a child. These came on when it was getting late, many people are starting to leave, but a good number remain back. As kids are sleeping/ready for bed, the last few real lover couples are slow dancing with their drinks in one hand. As they mime the lyrics with eyes closed, I would watch quietly imagining when I'd have my hubby to dance with. SIGH. Those were the days.
