When they announced the challenge to the top 30 they told us they wanted us to go all out, be bright, wild, intense, loud, and neon! They also suggested us to be inspired by movies, celebrities, and musicians. They supplied use with the makeup selection. That's why we have such colorful looks;D I was inspired by my favorite 80's cartoon Jem and the holograms. I hope this helps clear up any confusion:D

Don’t get me wrong the tutorial is lovely and it looks like hard work was put into it. That being said it looks like an exaggeration of the 80s she looks cute like a monster high doll. But the lighting music the overall atmosphere was marvelous. As for the makeup it’s was just too overdone and exaggerated the only thing I would say is accurate about the look is the metallic frosty light pink lips that people really did. And od on blush but not too crazy.

In the 80's people didn't really do anything with their eyebrows. You used waaaayy too much makeup. People in that time period didn't really have nice, 'done up' hair, it was usually in a sort of messy (might describe as crazy) state. And people wore mostly vibrant blues, greens, and purples. I'm not trying to be mean, just telling her what the 80's style was mostly like. Please don't bash me.

Let me clarify. Girls must be studying. At the 80 there was this grown up people who used to be "the rebel ones" on the streets. Those who followed Bowie and BIBA cosmetics used to create even blue blush if you like. Do some research. Maybe on your neighborhood or between you-girls weren't expose to this. But wow... it really existed and it was so much fun!
