My comment is in reference to the description box. I would say that the beginning of MJ admiration/inspiration started with Scottie Pippen. I am sure he would never admits this but looking at the highlights of scottie rookie year with the bulls. (your videos of the 1987-88 season) Scotti was really Immulating MJ, If you look at the way he drove to the goal and tried to do MJ like Layups. Scottie was trying to be like MJ. Even in the video that showed the 1994 Playoff series against the Knicks Scottie was trying to drive to the goal and perform a Michael Jordan style layup but ended up getting his shot blocked.

I was around at the time. Ron Harper and Scottie came into the league at the same time. Harper ABSOLUTELY was the first young player after Jordan who played in a similar style to Jordan and was absolutely influenced by his game - as the content creator says Harper said himself. Harper was a 6-6 shooting guard who drove to the basket and had tremendous athleticism and was known for his dunking ability. Arriving 3 years after Jordan, it’s not hard to imagine Harper watching Jordan’s early NBA career and wanting to “be like Mike.” Harper also stepped into the league and averaged 22.9 ppg as a rookie. Meanwhile, it wasn’t until Scottie’s 3rd season that he put up decent statistics. He averaged 7.9 as a rookie. Scottie was never a score-first type of player. Yeah, he was a wing player who handled the ball well and liked to drive to the basket, but I would say he never had that scorer’s mentality like pre-injury Harper or, of course, Jordan. Even when Jordan sat out those 2 full seasons, Scottie - in his prime - averaged “only” 22.0 and 21.4. Scottie was a great player and a bona fide HOFer but his greatness was as more of an all-around player. Offensively he was something of a facilitator. Jordan and Ron Harper had more of a score-first mentality and played in more similar styles. And during Harper’s rookie season, everyone was saying that he was kind of like another Jordan. No one ever said that about Scottie.

I really appreciate watching these great nba videos because I never watch nba today which is dominating by mostly female commentators that have not a clue about pro bball and the nba today is mostly an effeminate joke!!! Great vid Jordan - one of the greatest ever
