I remember when "Radioactive" wasn't really a hit in 1979 (when it was made), but it boomed in April/May of 1986. It even was #10 on Billboard in 1986! (of course it's fiction :D)

Imagine Dragons formed in 1978 in Las Vegas Nevada, when college student, Dan Reynolds met with his best friend, Andrew Tolman, and started doing demos. Tolman’s girlfriend, Brittany, joined in to be the synth player. In 1979, Wayne Sermon and Ben McKee joined the Band. Sermon played the Guitar, McKee played the Bass, Reynolds sang, And The Tolmans were drummer and synth player. In 1981, The Tolmans left the band because They chose to start a family, and Daniel Platzman Became the new drummer. In 1982, They released their first album, “A journey to the future” which featured their greatest hits such as “Radioactive,” “It’s Time,” “Demons,” and “On Top of the World.” In 1983, Radioactive and Demons hit the top hits for the Billboard charts. In 1985, They released their second Album, “Fire and Explosions” which featured “Shots,” “Gold,” and “I Bet My Life.” In 1986, they joined and performed with Queen to perform “I Want to Break Free,” and “Radio Ga Ga.” Freddie Mercury said in an interview, “Imagine Dragons are like an American version of us. Jim Hutton would love to see them perform with us, if he came to the concert that is.” In 1987, they released “BowMac Sign” which made a US release in 1987 and a British release in 1985. This album featured “Believer,” “Thunder,” and “Whatever it Takes.” “Believer” hit the billboard charts in 1987 and 1988. In 1988, they released “Aliens fighting Robots” which featured “Natural,” “Machine,” “Bad Liar,” and “Zero.” In 1990, They released “Monsters” which was the best selling album at the time. In 1991, They released a single called “Live Long Mercury” in honor of Freddie Mercury, who died from AIDS A week before the single was released. In December 1991, They released “Long live the Memories” their last album. In an interview just after Freddie Mercury’s death, Dan Reynolds said, “Freddie Mercury’s death was like losing a part of our band. I remember performing with him, along with Brian, Roger, and John. Yet I will always remember the unforgettable figure I performed with.” In 1992, Imagine Dragons disbanded after Dan’s mother died from cancer. Since then, Reynolds started getting aggressive with others, that the rest of the band No longer wanted to work with him. Originally, The band was going to have Reynolds fired from his position and have him replaced. But the band feared that if they replaced him, less people would like them. So they broke up. In 1995, while still being aggressive, Dan Reynolds was arrested and was charged with attempted murder. He was sentenced for 1 year in prison. In 1998, The band did a little reunion for a special concert at a festival in Las Vegas. In 2001, Reynolds changed his ways and eventually started a new band, “The Robo-Boys.” In 2003, Daniel Platzman died after being hit by a car. He was 62. At his funeral, Dan Reynolds sang Demons before they carried Platzman’s coffin. In 2006, Dan departed from the Bot Boys and started his solo career. In 2008, his daughter Arrow was featured in Dan’s single, “Zorgon Battle.” In 2010, Former Drummer, Andrew Tolman died from a heart attack. 6 months later, Brittany Tolman died from Pneumonia. In 2014, Wayne Sermon reunited with Reynolds and did a song together, “Slime Creature.” In 2016, Dan’s Father died from a stroke. In 2019, Ben McKee retired from his music career and is currently battling Cancer. It’s unknown of whether or not if he’s gonna make it. Today, Dan Reynolds still lives in Las Vegas and has 20 grandchildren. He said in his latest interview, “It’s been crazy to see how much Imagine Dragons has had a big journey throughout the band’s activity, I most certainly hope to see how LoveLoud can help bring an impact on LGTBQ Youth since I retired from the position.”

Awesome remix. I love how you used the background from Run With Us. It really works with the song.

To think, they made a really good updated mix of this some thirty years later.

Yooooo my dad used to play this back in '87 before he was hit by a drunk driver and hospitalized for 20 years before healing. Always thought life was against us but this song made me a believer!

Wow, remember when you only have to pass through a training edition scene to get in shape? Those were good old days!

You can bet this turned me into a believer. I believe that almost every song to ever exist sounds better in 80's style.

The sad thing about this is that for the most part it's true, the 80s remixes sound better or just as good as the original songs and it's scary

I am a 90's child, but there was no way for me not to know this song. It sounded from every record player and was a soundtrack in an every other movie back then.
