Man I remember all these commercials, I was 12 about to be 13 and I was glued to the TV playing Sega Genesis at the time. I also remember the passing of River Phoenix and was so sad. Definitely a Halloween I'll never forget. But those were the best years of my life. I loved the 90s.

1-800-Collect- The way the college boy says, "Mommy, I miss you." in this commercial is so charming, it puts a smile on my face every time. Married With Children Will Not Be Seen Tonight- The way the Bundy family reacts in this announcement of their show not being seen that night (yelling, "BOO!") is priceless. That sure would speak for the people who were disappointed that they didn't get to see that show that night.

Addams Family Values is so underrated, and it’s a shame the cast wasn’t allowed to continue, due to the sequel not doing as well as the first, and the eventual tragic passing of Raul Julia. Would love to have gotten one more film with that cast.

I just saw it once over 10 years ago but I still think of Wednesday calling out the genocide against native Americans and rising up. What a boss lol.

It was my favorite movie as a kid. And yeah, really would have liked to see them all in another movie. I remember there being some made-for-TV Addams Family movie that wasn't nearly as good

5:57 - This is actually a cool callback to an early idea from the series. The original plan was to have it be revealed that Homer was Krusty. Not only were they played by the same actor, but they shared the same design. The plan was to do an episode where Bart would find out his dad was his TV hero. The plan was dropped eventually, because no fans realized that Krusty was literally Homer in clown makeup.

Sonic Mania Day was the follow up to the previous year’s Sonic 2’s Day (Tuesday, November 23), which was the first highly publicized release date for a video game, like a movie. This would lead to other successful launches, like Mortal Kombat’s Mortal Monday (September 13,1993).

I watched these commercials as well as 2 hours of the Simpsons right here on WNYW New York! I already told my Halloween '93 story back on Vol 292 (Rained all day, went out trick or treating anyway!) I also remember the election for NJ governor and how close it was!

it's not just the fact that it's 90's content that makes it so unfamiliar. Even present-day US adverts are pretty alien from a UK perspective

Brisco County Jr. was my introduction to Bruce Campbell before his work on Xena and Hercules (I have only seen Army of Darkness of the Evil Dead films, and that was years later). He's definitely one of the best! I hope they could do a follow-up movie before he gets much older.
