That Final Fantasy III commercial...Oh, was I hyped for this. I had just gotten into JRPGs in the summer of 94 when I rented Lunar: The Silver Star for the Sega CD on a whim because I liked the anime art on the cover and throughout the manual. I became hooked on the game, asked for it for my birthday that summer, and played through it until I beat it. I needed more when it was done, so I picked up Secret of Mana for the SNES, which was my first SquareSoft game. That same summer, my friend let me borrow his copy of Final Fantasy II (IV in Japan) for the SNES, and when I started seeing talk about Final Fantasy III in Nintendo Power and other magazines, the hype was huge for me. I got it for Christmas along with Donkey Kong Country that year, and as great as DK Country looked, FF III definitely got my attention that holiday, and I played it nearly nonstop until I beat it the night before I was supposed to go back to school after the New Year.

Subway- I like how they promote the A-1 Steak Sauce as if it's the greatest condiment they ever put on their sandwiches. Sonic And Knuckles- In my opinion, that's one of the best Sonic Games ever made for the Sega Genesis. It's no wonder those elves had quite a mission cut out for them to deliver that game for Santa Claus.

6:12 - Apparently, these guys are near the only McDonald's that requires you to eat inside the restaurant. And couldn't one of those guys have just gone over, and brought the food back?

I never even HEARD of this Sega IR 7000! It was made by Casio based off 2 of their similar models and given the Sega brand, looked like it was awesome in 94.

A Subway commercial from when they were still decent, followed by a commercial featuring Rachel Hunter (I had a crush on her back in the day). Ah the memories.

That first Coca-Cola commercial is giving me strong Y2K Aesthetic vibes, despite being from 1994. And Speech from Arrested Development was probably telling the truth about buying albums to sample Lez Zeppelin. He's pretty eclectic.

I completely forgot about that Sega IR 7000! Sega was ahead of the curve in ideas, but flat-out HORRIBLE in its execution. Great collection of commercials here!

y'know I don't think I ever saw that ad for FF3* until I found it on youtube... I do recall something about it in GameFan in the 90s but somehow never managed to catch it. (*I mean of course we call it 6 now) also forgot about SEGA's text-messaging device, I was far more interested in Sonic 3& Knuckles on Genesis at the time!
