man, I remember as a kid being so hyped about the upcoming Sonic cartoons (AoStH and SatAM premiered together if I recall) and I wondered how his voice was gonna be like... it was an interesting choice having the kid who played Steve Urkel

I had most of those Jurassic Park action figures. I miss the advertising of toys from the 90's -- so much :(

I believe my favorite character from the Wild West cowboys of Moomesa was Dakota. I liked him because he always said yup and nope almost close to sounding like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.

Chris Carpenter yeah man it bes like that sometimes. There was a certain charm and uniqueness about the commercials, music, shows and movies, and trends back then that just can’t be matched and unfortunately we’ll never have that again.

Damn... So that's where "MADE BY ME!" comes from (I thought it was from the Mid-Nineties Easy-Bake Oven revival, just could never find the commercial to prove it.), another deep subconscious quote memory solved.

Ads for two of my favorite cartoons for the era. I loved cowboys of moo mesa and Sonic Satam if I remember correctly there was a live action cowboy show at the same time that also only lasted a season. I remember it was on at about the time i started to get tired of watching cartoons and went to go play with my toys.

For me at 9 - 10 and going into summer of 1993 to 1994 first year my home had cable and a TV in my room was the start, and here one of my favorites sonic the hedgehog

@@84MadHatter I think the "Whole New Level Of Fun" promo package for ABC SatAm at this point was one of the best of the whole era to me, like late 90s Fox Kids and Kids WB are at the top, but there are a lot of good ones. Too bad the programs were kinda here or there sometimes, I dunno. I LOVED ABCs Sonic SatAM, convinced me to finally read the Archie comics. I'm honestly glad I did even if the later Penders era went off the rails hard in some regard.

The Jurassic Park Command Center toy commercial claims that computer can say over 100 things. I really have a hard time picturing that. I mean, there's only so many ways you can say "Oh my God, look out for that dinosaur coming at us!!", before it just gets repetitive.

Had no idea ABC was still using the Time for Timer spots. Maybe they brought that back around the time that production of Schoolhouse Rock segments returned.

So I'm guessing that the kid in the last commercial, if he hadn't started reading books, probably would've become like Stoop Kid from Hey Arnold?

I still get a kick out of the WXYZ pinball ID. MUCH better than what we had on WABC In 1993, all we'd get for IDs is "It's never too early to learn to read." Look at Saturday morning videos uploaded by Darian Sewell to get an idea. In my mind, the only Sonic The Hedgehog that mattered was the daily syndicated series, not the SatAM version. Damn right limos are evil! All sorts of nasty people ride in those things!

8 year old me couldn't have disagreed more, PINGAS sonic gave us so many great things to meme with, but the SatAM series actually had a continuing plot and I think the "heavier" plot and character development appealed to me more than the much lighter and simpler daily. The first 3 games (2 at the time) always had this sort of edge and were rarely 'funny' outright and the syndicated series was quite "Looney Tunes"-ish, seemed odd to me.

I'm now pretty sure that the action figures were based primarily on pre-production storyboards and concept art, which is why some of them look nothing remotely like the actors that were eventually cast...or in the case of Tim Murphy, not even the correct age.
