I met Erik Estrada in The City of Industry in 2002 at a the Malibu Speed Zone with a friend of mine, where he was doing an episode of a variety show about the location. After politely complimenting him on his acting career he spoke with me for about 15 minutes and he is as cool as his corrector on Chips very, very nice down to earth person. Talking to him was cool enough and I wasn't going to hassle him for an autograph, but then I remembered I worked at a maintenance shop back in the early 90's with two other guys and we all called each other Ponch to keep things equal. He thought that was funny and was more then gracious enough to sign 3 shirts to Ponch 1 through 3. There was some argument over who would get the Ponch #1 shirt so I kept it for myself. I guess we weren't equal after all.

CHiPs fact. In October 1981, two real-life California Highway Patrolmen were injured in the line of duty. The show's cast took time out to donate blood for the two officers. One survived. Thanks for a awesome video again. Sorry I been missing your love streams. Work seems to be busy more than usual. Okay take care.

😂😂😂😂 Oh that ending was funny. But yeah, season 6 sucked without Larry Wilcox. And when CHiPs lost the use of the 210 freeway, I think around season 4 maybe, they had to resort to filming on side streets, which we all know that the CHP really doesn’t do unless they absolutely have to. Their primary function is freeways and highways. Great video, l looks forward to more of them.

Just a correction, the CHP also work on public roads in unincorporated and incorporated portions of any specific county. They get called to a roadway accident that could be 10 miles or more away from any freeway or highway in any county.

CHiPS was a cool tv show, the motorcycles, the stunts and the theme song. It's insane that it has been forty years since it went off the air.

Your “interview” with Larry Wilcox really made me lol! Fun video as usual. Whenever Chips comes up in conversation I like to point out that Sgt. Getraer is played by Robert Pine. His son was in an episode or two. I think the kids name is Chris, or something like that.

this was hilarious I used to watch this show everyday when I was a little kid back in the late 70's early 80's and back then I think they did repeats of the show in the early mornings so if you missed it at night you could watch it in the morning. This show and the Dukes of Hazzard was my favorite 2 shows at that time and I also watched Popeye too. But I think I've watched almost every episode of Chips at least a few times.

FELTON! 14:13 I used to live in a house on this road, 2 blocks from artesia. Cool house with a deck on top of the garage (which was converted to a game room). Walking on felton up to artesia, there was a great restaurant that had super cheap made to order breakfast on the right. And a mexican restaurant I'd get takeout across Artesia. This was the 90s, not the 80s tho. Lots of familiar places. What I noticed a lot was how the size of trees had massively increased over the past 40 years, especially the rows of trees with white bark in the first comparison shots...

At 3:31, across the street is a dude in a pickup truck and a bunch of people hanging around the bus stop who appear to be watching the filming production. I'm thinking they are crew. I don't believe they are extras or just random members of the public because of the way they're casually looking over at the filming. Plus, in the very next shot, 3:41, they've all disappeared. Extras would have still been there. It could be that the shots were filmed at different times, or different days for that matter. Thoughts?
