Russ I really get a kick out of these jam sessions. What I would give to be sitting in that room with these musicians. Keep the videos coming.

Russ your backup is on point! It just dances on the melody. It drives it but doesn't let itself be contained. Love listening and learning from you.

Our band used to sing this tune in A Major. Don Graham on lead. How many "Parking lot put together bands" have I played in? 10? More?

Aaaaaa, so killer! It was great to finally meet you at IBMA, Russ! Also, does this video happen to be in Tim Kruzic's jamming room? He told me to check out his jamming room but I never got around to finding it lol

What’s that pull off called at 1:38? I’ve been looking everywhere to figure out how to do it
@alan4sure6 жыл бұрын
He put his finger lightly across the strings on that 7th fret and picked them, it produces specific harmonics rather than a clear note like when strings are pressed down.
@jeffsnidermusic6 жыл бұрын
I think he’s talking about the pull-off lick immediately after the harmonic. I wanna know as well.
@MikeHeddingMusic6 жыл бұрын
It's a classic Scruggs/Crowe lick. You do a 3-2 pull-off on the 1st string and then do a 3-2 pull-off on the 3rd string. Usually played with a reverse roll. You should be able to find tab for that if you look. - Mike

Thanks mike, I’ve heard it in so many songs and it just makes the end of a lead run sound so good.

Here is the tab for that lick. The "3-2s" are pull-offs. d ----3-2-----------0--------- b ----------0------------------- G --------------3-2-------0---- D ------------------------------- g --------------------------------
