Hi Tony, I am Kevin, Dyno Don's son. I just wanted to say thank you for the kind words regarding his headers. Yes he will be retiring for sure sometime this year in 2019.

Kevin91Z28 thank you I’m really glad you enjoyed and I absolutely love them. Sad to hear he is retiring but at the same time that’s great. Time for him to relax. Please thank him for me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Douglas. No I have my own job so I will not be taking over for him.

@@TonyTheTechnician Good to know. I picked up an '82 Trans Am with a 350 swap out of an '87. Engine has been rebuilt and run in with stock manifolds, now looking for some ceramic coated headers that aren't cheap Chinese junk.

Those are pretty much a copy of the 1 3/4" SLP stainless headers (not made for several years now). I have a set of SLP and a set of Dyno Dons on different thirdgens and they do fit nice. Definitely a good header for thirdgens if you do not want to drag long tubes.
@TonyTheTechnician6 жыл бұрын
slowformula yes indeed. Thanks for mentioning that. I read that a lot in forums before purchasing them
@w41duvernay5 жыл бұрын
Sir, I was hoping you could should how to bolt on the brackets from the headers on the pwr steering and a/c on the headers, and bolt up everything from there on a 3rd gen car.
@peterdarr3834 жыл бұрын
You get creative and use longer bolts/studs and make sleeves from small diameter pipe maybe from an old 10 speed frame cut to proper length.

If I remember correctly Don retired from making the headers and they are no longer available. But here is where I ordered them. www.top-downsolutions.com/index.php?route=product/manufacturer/info&manufacturer_id=34

@TonyTheTechnician I seen that sight but not sure how to order as they show limited items...how did you order?

@TonyTheTechnician and if no longer available what would you suggest as an alternative. I'm currently running eldebrock long tubes and my exhaust hangs to low and I always hit frigging speed bumps.

Great video thanks brother. Looks like they have all the cylinders tubes the same length. I can see you shouldn't have issues with the bolts staying tight. The flat surface should help with that. Really like the headers well built. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother

@@imcrazyforwar fitment wasn't bad at all. I would say maybe 2 of the plugs were close but still get access. The only thing that was a pain was a couple of the bolts for the headers being close to the primaries and you have to use a wrench to tighten them down.

Ya that might work well. They sound very good. Probably the best short headers you can get for a third gen camaro

Is there any other shorty headers you’d recommend that are on the cheaper side ? Im gonna start building a 350 & well these dyno don headers are talked about everywhere i search but they are expensive & out of the question for me :/... lmk with any cheaper recommendations id appreciate it i have a 92 Camaro btw

They have so many brands available. I've only used one other brand on my camaro and it was a Summit brand like 10 years ago. But they have alot to offer. Check out all the brands Summit has to offer. I wouldn't use an ebay brand.

I'm interested in the Dyno Don headers but I can't seem to find any contact information for the manufacturer and I don't want to have to send a note to Top Down Solutions which is then forwarded to Dyno Don. How can I contact him directly? Also since you have these what is the height and width of the ports? I need to exhaust ports to be about 1.5 inches high x 1.5 inches wide in order to clear the ports on my aftermarket vortec style heads. I can't seem to find this information anywhere either. If you could add this information to your video or post here that would be great.
