I came across your overview this morning and clicked to watch. Enjoyed it very much. I did jump school at Scholefield Barracks in Hawaii in 1966, when I was in the Marine Corps. Our ground week was 8 days long, and then 5 jump days. Our instructors were part of a Recon outfit stationed at Pearl Harbor. It was hard, but when you jumped out of that plane, it became the absolutely coolest thing on earth! thanks for the memories!

Of off the skids from blackhawks even one off a left over Huey. Even did one with the ROK soldiers in South Korea. A six man stick out of a gondola from a hot air balloon. Yes I miss those days. I really love seeing jump training in action. It hasn’t changed a whole lot. Went through airborne training many years ago. What I remember as an aviator was the different aircraft mostly c141’s and c130’s. Jumped with the Colorado NG, UH1’s, and CH47’s. The Chinook was the first aircraft I leaped out of because of the sheer noise. The relief was exiting the chopper for quiet. Learning this skill was amazing.

I grew up outside Fort Bragg, my father was stationed there back in the 70s. I still remember heading out to North Sicily to sit in the stands there and watch the static line drops, sometimes there were HALO drops. They used to publish the drop schedules in the Fayetteville Observer back then. Back then they dropped out of C-141s most of the time, C-17 wasn't a thing yet. I flew on a few C-141s and C-130s during my active duty time, preferred the C-141s because of the faster flight time.

I find it absolutely amazing that we, the US, have so many young men and women who have volunteered and are trained to seek and destroy any enemy across the globe. Watching them in action causes a swelling of pride in me about our great country. A tradition that goes back many years and is carried forward by these young airman soldiers

H-Minus Airborne All the Way. missing from the training jump video are the crowded plans all 4 isles packed , all of the combat gear 60-80 lbs, .not like the orange cargo net we sat in. some young kid(s) puking stinking up the plane, screaming hollering and pushing like hell to get out of the damn door. Calm looking jumps to give a sense but not like real. 11 -15 plans in the air loaded with 80 jumpers each to fill the sky. Pissed off from being cinched up in the chute harness too long. but still a fun video to watch

Rusty White nah delta force is top of the line. 82nd is very wide and trust, units like the Devils that are currently so fucked up that they can't go a single without jump with a toe jumper or some getting there arm sliced off isn't top of the line. toe jumper: a parajumper who hesitated to jump and as a result is being "dragged" by the plane since his cord has not detached. arm sliced off: when jumping that yellow cord pulls your chute. some people instead of handing it to the jump master throw it at him and it hits him and he fails to collect it. it then gets caught on the next jumpers arm and they sustain an injury as to where there bicep is cut and has internal bleeding. now a unit like the Falcons are top of the line for airborne and infantry operations

Toe jumper? Its towed jumper, and it isn't caused by hesitating, but improper parachute wear or bad actions made by the jump master. Also, no paratrooper calls their static line ''yello' cord''. Also wtf is that arm sliced off bullshit? i didn't serve as an US airborne, but i was assigned to the 2nd Parachute Regiment when i was in the French Foreign Legion and i can smell your bullshit from far. It's clear you have never jumped out of a plane.

I've been thinking about my old friends as I come up on my 50th b-day. I was in 2/325 Charlie Company '89-'91. I was a 60 gunner, always with a load too heavy to actually jump, brushed along the side of the aircraft going out many times, mostly in the dark. Thanks God for a good jump master. We flew map-of-the-earth on C-141 to Wisconsin one time, lots of guys puking, it was January. My assistant gunner was Arthur Luna from San Antonio. It was the first time he'd ever seen the snow. I'd love to drink a beer with him. I haven't seen him or anyone I served with going on 30 years. I've tried some searches, but how do I look these guys up? Andrew Kurz from Brooklyn, Edmond Lizotte from Maine, Major Karl Horst from Washington, Rob Kraus from Long Island. Sorry about the long post, but would welcome any ideas. Thanks for reading, Mick
