Great news, after watching this video I immediately grabbed the replacement tips for both R/L Mul-t-lock, clipped the excess length and literally dropped them in G Pro handles!!! Awesome option to add to my set and the diameters (not flimsy) are the same! This setup slays pin-in-pin (check out the pic of the tips on their site). Wendt is awesome to order from as well (I have the Wendt Elektro Pick III fro years ago). Thanks for sharing this video, benefits all. Keep up the great content. THANK YOU!

That’s exactly how I pick my mul-t-lock interactive locks. I already have extra pics that I ordered directly from the manufacture, I’ll be posting a video of me using one today. I believe they are the best on the market for dimple picks but no manufacturer will believe me.

Great review on a wonderful tool, I haven't tried these particular tools but i can say that even using a lishi tool has taught me alot when understanding a lock, I do believe they do have a place when locksporters as well but sometimes the cost can be a hard pill to swallow

They are cool. They just have a shallow learning curve, which is why they are cool. It seems like their place, at least listening to you, is in helping to clarify the technique one needs to open these locks. They are learning aids. Take them to meet-ups so people who are struggling with these kinds of cores can get feel for doing it the easier way to help get the knack for cracking on the pain in the wrist way.

a shallow learning curve is the point. these were not invented for locksport. they were invented for government 3 letter agencies. the tool is meant to be useful and easy.

Looks very cool but there's a limited market, limited to professional locksmiths. Even then there's probably only a few locksmiths who are security cleared to be working in the type of environment where a lock like you just picked would be installed. Certainly a nice toy to have and if it really did teach you to hand pick that type of lock then its pretty cheap at under €200.

I disagree, not a single locksmith in America is required to be “ security cleared” to work on MTL. Anyone working in the Pop-a-Lock business, lockout business, will come across MTL, and that is what this tool is for. This is not a toy. This is an entry tool. Our hobby is filled with so many toys, that people forgot what actual entry tools look like.

The military here and other sites, power plants and even some of our hospitals here require security clearance before they will let you on site no matter why you are there. Depending on the site you can get some clearance at the gate. If you're there to work they already knew who was coming and the checks would begin before you would get there. If there's a problem with an individual the company just sends someone else. We don't have any nuclear capabilities so it's not that serious but we do have a lot of Government buildings and other secure sites and those are really the only places where you would find those sort of locks here in Northern Ireland. . When I said Toy I mean for me it would be a toy because I would only be playing with it and wouldn't be using it in a professional manner. My hands are pretty fu&ked up and get sore quickly with ordinary picks and I definitely have an interest in learning to pick dimple locks so maybe Educational Toy would be a more accurate description? I didn't say I wouldn't buy one but I couldn't tell my wife lol.

How do these compare to the Ares? Could they double as disc-detainer tools if you machined some tips for them?

No, can’t use them as the disc detainer tool. The Ares is much nicer and multipurpose, but i still need to acquire the right tips for my Ares before I can use it on any locks I own. It’s a much bigger investment with potential to open more locks when you make that investment. These just open multiple-t-lock, but at a much cheaper price. These are my go-to for mul-t-lock. Ares will be my go to for DD locks
