I'm really happy the Dutch allow breeding of pitbulls again, but it's a shame to see so many uncontrolled and misbehaved dogs in this video. Most dogs were in front pulling their owners around the yard. Shame, because pitbulls are such wonderful dogs if raised well.

There are no accidents happen, and there is enough supervision. outside that people know what they are doing here :) So do not judge because you see a few pictures of people who are uncontrolled progress .... is not true ... Everyone knows each other and know what they have in hands and knows his dog.

Dave D I'm not saying or even suggesting that accidents happened. All I am saying is that a lot of dogs, not all, but a lot, in this video were uncontrolled and misbehaving. What I mean by that is always having tension on the leash, pulling owners across the grass, dogs needing to be held by their harness before doing the biting exercise. Non of this is dangerous per se, but it does reflect incompetent dog ownership and training. If raised well the dogs, whatever breed, will not pull the owner around, will not have tension on the leash all the time, and wouldn't need to be held by the harness before doing any jumping, biting or other exercise. Instead it should be trained to patiently sit and wait until a command is given. Still love the fact you guys organise these events, don't get me wrong. Just a shame so little focus is given to proper training. Take care!

Okay, I see what you mean .. Just a miscommunication ;) Thanks for the effort of your message :) But I agree with you about the fact that you properly train your dog. Instead of your dog securely hold the chest. It's definitely better if your dog will learn the commands .. brings more peace in the dog. But sometimes it is difficult, for example, with my dog .. I can give him all the commands with training (only). He listens well! But on a event it is too busy for him .. sometimes more, the concentration in the dogs than in the part. I also know that this is to train .. but it is difficult to train with this type of dog it.

Bulldogs (APBs) are swell dogs. Not only swell companions, but high drive working/purpose dogs that do their all to serve their masters. The APB is a dog that was designed and used as hunting dogs, butchers dogs, and as warring dogs in the bloodsport of bull and bear baiting. Dogs like APBs are what people would call gripping dogs: dogs that are able to hunt, control, or catch large game by getting a good grip and work to either throw the large beast off balance or hold it in place for the farmer, rancher, or hunter. Like dog expert, author, and breed historian Diane Jessup writes: “First a hunter, then a butcher's dog, then a baiter, then a dog fighter, American Pit Bulls which display behavior typical of their heritage are gripping dogs; they come from a long, long genetic history which dictates they get a hold and HANG ON! This behavior saved their life during the years they were hunting boar, stag and bear, and also stood them in good stead when they moved on to working bulls, bears and other animals in baiting sports. This same behavior can work to make breaking up a fight quite easy and safe. The Pit Bull is a bulldog in action and appearance. He is a gripping dog - not a terrier (which means Earth dog which pursues its quarry underground). The English bulldog is a relatively recently developed animal designed strictly for the show ring. We still use them for their intended purpose in the Deep South US hunting wild boar and of course, the ultimate family companion. It's a shame criminal types have corrupted the breed by breeding in larger mastiff and dogos. They've had plenty of help in the ADBA and others. Contrary to what many believe, they do get along great with other dogs when properly socialized as cooperation with other dogs is a must when hunting wild boar. Criminals and their accomplices in the media have given my dog a bad rap. I've had neighbors complain that I shouldn't allow my 45 pound monster around children. That's ok, he is now a registered service dog for the hearing impaired, and also is a regular visitor at the children's hospital, great hunter, and exceptionally gentle around other dogs as well. Around wild game he's a different dog altogether. This is the most multi functional dog on the planet for sure.

***** You are right buddy. But those are not bulldogs (APBTs) those fellows have who have added mastiff blood to the dogs. They are another breed folks know of as American bullies. As we all know, once someone adds the blood of another breed, the resulting offspring are no longer that breed of dog and will have a different size, look, traits, and overall design. So I don't think folks can corrupt a breed they do not have. These 90 and 100 pound dogs with the loose skin, large frame, and heavy builds are dogs of their own not to be confused for the real deal bulldog. Also, these folks that add other blood such as mastiff blood are doing so for making designer bulldogs not specifically intended for any kind of purpose or work. Though they can be swell working dogs as well, their main goal is for size and looks. These folks usually are not indulging in any kind of illegal activity with the dogs that would label them as criminals.

A construction worker building a house nearby made the comment his 80 pound "pit" would eat my 45 pounder up. That's the only person my dog has not liked. I'd like to see his big headed blue bully up against a 350 pound boar in the swamp. Lol

From what I've been hearing, they were designed by using the blood of the American bulldog, American pit bulldog, and bull mastiff. All of those are good breeds. Olde English bulldogges have good structure and can definitely work. I'm sad to say that I agree with you that the English bulldog is not designed well. I say that they should make improvements to the standard to help encourage people from continuing to produce dogs that are in such bad form. I think change should start in the show ring. The shows seem to be why they look like they do.

If you wanted a Pit Bull, you should of gotten a true Pit Bull, not some Staff shit for you to call a Pit Bull when it ain't! * Gotti, Remyline, Razors Edge, etc - those are American Bully bloodlines, not Pit Bull bloodlines * "My dog is a gator-mouth Pit Bull" - no your dog is a mutt. You have a mutt, not a Pit Bull. Unless your dog is part alligator, it ain't a gator anything. * If your dog is XL or anything with an "X" in it, it ain't a Pit Bull. You have an American Bully/American Bully x Mastiff mix * If your dog is UKC registered, it's highly unlikely that it is a Pit Bull, but it's not impossible. APBTs can obviously be registered with the UKC, but the majority of the time, they're just Am. Staffs or Am. Staff mixes * Just because your dog is registered with the ADBA does NOT mean he is a Pit Bull either. Lots of mutts are FALSELY registered with the ADBA as Pit Bulls * Pit Bulls don't come in one "set" appearance, some are short, some are tall. Some are big, some are little. Some have bat ears while others have rose ears, hound ears, etc. Overall, the APBT was never bred for its looks

Dave D Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I do dis-agree with 2 things, a pitbull can still be a pitbull without having an immediate ancestor that has entered the pit, you can get a rednose pitbull (although I think the only true ones are the OFRN. ) But there is no blue nose pit. But you do know what your talking about and you put it wonderfully. (:

Dave D xl pitbulls xxl pitbulls are more mixed with presa canario dogo canario type dogs they are not the original powerfull pit with full drive, bleunose its same untill 15 20 years back bleunose pitbull was never existing even pitbull was existing more as 1 century long bleunoses were mixed with mastino neopolitans, original pitbull is the best i have a original rednose werry smart powerfull dog, and fuck that abda they make the show winners by the 3 color bastardbulls, 3 color pitbull is not original and not accetable abda basthardbulls looking mostly like winddogs abda is a shit commercial company that dnt give a shit about the original pitbull.
