Never tried retinols, but just bought a bakuchiol serum and it's amazing! It's from a braziian brand called OhWell (the brand is focused on sensitive skin) and it's just the bakuchiol plus purple rice extract and probiotics. So far so good, no side effects (i have very sensitive skin... rosacea, dermatities), and can already see the results 😍

Dermaquest makes a retinaldehyde serum With Bakuchiol. It’s amazing for sensitive skin with anti-aging concerns

Hi lovelies unrelated...will you be making an all in one aha bha pha serum? With glycolic, lactic, gluconolactone, salicylic etc? I would love one serum that covers both aha pha and bha for my exfoliating nights in mid to high percentage. I'm tired of layering my bha toner and then my aha toner. I saw the farmacy aha bha serum looks great all that I'm looking for but the price. God the price. I notice on your website you do have options but i do wish there was one that had all. So i dont have to layer so many. Love the brand farmacy but their serums are crazy expensive. Would love a serum that has real aha and bha not plant derived alternatives like willow bark. I don't mind enzymes but they can be an addition to the proper actives.

hmm that's an interesting idea. When we originally created our exfoliation line, we wanted to let each one individually shine. Though recently, my skin's mad at me for trying one too many new products and I find myself mixing the Baby Steps with Gold Standard to find that balanced in between. So I can definitely see a cool product that strives to balance the exfoliants. We'll definitely put that in the RD idea box!

I also found bakuchiol to be irritating. Definitely more redness. I leave it out of my routine now.

Sooo, is bakuchiol safe during pregnancy at all???😮

It's awkward. Has it been tested to be pregnancy-safe? No. Is it a Vitamin A derivative that's linked to teratogenic effects? No. Should also mention a lot of skincare ingredients are in the same boat.

Lol... It's so nice to have some of your scientific terms and names on screen to read, because when you said, "Bakuchiol comes from babachi," I heard, "Bakuchiol comes from Bumcheek." LOL 😂 I had to look at the screen and read it to clarify! So, let's talk Bakuchiol from Bumcheek? 😂😂😂
