When my buddy sent me photos of that case I could hardly say no.

Those 1370's had lots of horsepower and far more torque than the internationals of the same period. They ran circles around the competition. Pulled a 13 shank anhydrous applicator and tank, second cog of 3 gear.

More cubes means more torque.

1370s came out in 71 ran till 78. 1466 came out in 71 ran till 78 and was 10hp less. 1566 came out in 74 till 78 and was 30 HP more. So to say ih didn't have anything comparable and case ran circles around them is a pretty bold statement. Everybody knows ih always dynoed way higher than rated HP. I'm not sure on torque possibly the 504 case did make more torque but the 400 series engines in those tractors everybody turned them up and they still lasted. 504 case you'll be doing lower sleeves after 5000 hours because the blocks rot out

@@zacharyantoneshyn9295 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I ran one of the very first 1370s to hit the dealership, I watched the Dyno test, 218 HP out of the box brand new Man. None of the IH, John Deere, Allis Chalmers, none of them could keep up. Many differences, torque,HP, transmission,3 speed power shift. We had the 1466 , neighbor had 4320 , my employer had the 1370, factory man said John Deere was at 240 HP out of the box and I had to turn away and feed the goats to keep from laughing until I cried ! 1466 I Dyno tested at 165 out of The box. Now several mechanics told me you might gain 20 HP after the first 500 hours of operation. I was a red fan forever until I actually opperated the Case, The John Deere looked very funny sitting next to all of those white Case tractors.

@@zacharyantoneshyn9295 how many IH engines ever see 5,000 hours on a set of sleeves? IH wore holes in the sleeves because because the return line fed into the block between number 3 and 4 cylinders, no rock phosphate, pure water will eat the liners in less than 1500 hours of use man. That is why they added a coolant filter.

The early 13s were rated at 142 pto horsepower. Then in 1973 I believe they turned them up to 155 pto ho rsepower.
