I started watching your videos because I am a Mopar fanatic. But after seeing how many skills and how talented you are. I would watch you build anything!! Chevy Ford Mopar!!! doesn’t matter. It could be a go kart. I’m gonna be there for every episode. I’m not only thanking you for the entertainment, but I’m thanking you for the skills that you share!

I appreciate the compliments. I could build Mopars forever and this one was going that way until I ran into too many obstacles. I love the late 60's and early 70's Mopars and I love the LX platforms.

So nice to see the two cars become one for the first time!

It is satisfying.

It is always good to have solid members, and the frame rails are looking nice as well. Great work, Steve. All that prep is paying great dividends now.

Just like the Chargers it seems to be working but just barely.

Really coming together nicely Steve. Like I said before, this is going to be one sturdy car!
@SteveMirabelli20 сағат бұрын
Thanks. I think so. Got a little flack by going unibody from a frame car but I think it will be tighter.

@SteveMirabelli Unibody is 100% better so long as it's done right, most just don't want to spend the time to do it right.

The way you set up that rear end and then pulled the body back off and built it all out was impressive. It reminds me of the adage about taking your time to do something, not rushing. It came out fantastic. The build is looking awesome.
@SteveMirabelli20 сағат бұрын
Thanks. I have done my share of rushing when I was younger. The only thing it leads to is regret and do overs.

As always, I love seeing the progress. As I have said before Weld through primer is a must. Still don't understand why more people don't use it.

It is apparently pretty toxic. I am old so I don't care. LOL.

Thanks for keeping us entertained. Enjoy your holidays. I suggest to add some weep holes to bottom of the rails you added.

Well I don't have any engineers to consult so we shall see.

As usual, beautiful build, steve. What's going to be your approach for rust and dents inside the bed?
@SteveMirabelli3 сағат бұрын
Just gonna clean it up as best as I can and spray on some bed liner. It will be my daily driver so no use making the bed look show car.
@miguela.morales255Күн бұрын
Hello Steve, El Camino is looking really good, I was wondering how a wooden bed will look in El Camino. What do you think about a wooden bed even when it is not the OEM looks?
@SteveMirabelliКүн бұрын
If I were building a show car that would definitely be a go but since this will be my daily driver and I intend to throw bags of concrete and wood in the back I have to keep it durable.
