Pandith Ji, Your guidance will help many people. I was born as Hindu in south India in a kamma(chaudhary) family. I don’t have any formal training in scriptures. My father used to recite many prayers at home and my mother used to take me to many religious discourses when I was a kid. My family used to listen to several gurus on TV. My knowledge is very much limited. Whenever I feel stressed, I pray using the prayers I have listened to as a child. It makes me very happy. I lived in India for 24 years. I moved to USA after my marriage 25 years ago. Can you please give us guidance for me and many others like me? I worked in IT for a.long time and then stopped. I have plenty of time. I want/wish to learn Sanskrit and some music to sing the praises of the God. And also for my grand kids. My kids are only teenagers. I want to follow all good practices a Hindu should follow and teach them to my grand kids too. My kids I told them Ramayana, Krishna, Ganesha stories. But they can’t read and write any Indian language.
@AnnM-cx9my2 ай бұрын
Guruji, What is an ideal daily routine for Hindus for prayer? What are minimum requirements? Which scriptures should we start with? I will start with Isha Upanishad as you suggested. Which prayers should we use? Does it depend on gender, vruthi, pravruthi, astrology, ishtadaivatha, Kula devatha? How can Hindus in other countries pass on their traditions to future generations? I used to tell stories of Ramayana, Krishna, shiva, Ganesha to kids as bed time stories. They have good character. They do not know how to read any Indian language. My kids are teenagers now. I want to learn the Sanskrit language, essentials of daily routine for Hindus. I want to follow first. There is plenty of guidance and good in our scriptures that helps humans. I have to learn first and pass it on to future generations.

It's was very irritating and disrespectful. I guess u r new in podcast business. U r seriously requested to learn communication btr. "Bol do" nai hota, "Bol Dijiye" hota hai. Stop interrupting when some knowledgeable person is speaking. He had to multiple times ask you to reciprocate, I don't know what were u day dreaming there. Try to make it interactive, when guest is asking a question, be quick in answering. Don't make him say "ha toh bolo bhai". U had such great guest, but I could not enjoy it the most just bcoz of ur interruption. Unsolicited advices from my end. If u don't relate to them, then u can Ignore them.

Dipen, firstly I must congratulate you for bringing Dr. Chaturvedi on your show. Vedic subjects are complex and only rare people can break it down like Dr. chaturvedi can. He’s one of the rare scholars who has dedicated whole life to unraveling the hidden secrets of ancient Vedic knowledge. Very few people including myself have had an opportunity to personally learn from him, feel extremely lucky! Just to point out that you need to structure this better, the idea of a series is great but since the definitions of fundamental terms are lost (e.g. Agni, soma, Veda, rishi etc.), you will need to break this down into parts gently and intelligently. Do feel free to reach out for any support on this subject, well done! 👍

How humble Uncle is 🙏🙏🙏 Ranveer (#beerbiceps) would have done justice to Uncle's level of knowledge and practical life experience. I'll request Ranveer to invite Uncle to his show. Lets see if he does. Before inviting scholars, Ranveer does good amount of research and reading. Actually hundreds of unemployed wasted are becoming youtubers for easy money in country of 140+ crores now that data and smart phone penetration has more than doubled in last decade. It's a good thing but some level of quality and security check is essential.

the Purusha Sukta (Mandala 10, Hymn 90) in the Rigveda explicitly refers to the syllable OM in a subtle and symbolic manner. This hymn describes the cosmic being Purusha, from whose sacrifice the universe and all its elements were created. The syllable OM, while not explicitly named in this hymn, is implied as the primordial sound and essence of the creation process, resonating with the emergence of cosmic order (Rta) and the sacrifice that gives rise to the universe. This aligns with the later understanding of OM as the sound symbolizing the ultimate reality or Brahman.
