Hey, i just stumbled upon your channel, and i love the in-depth advanced content (can be hard to find on youtube). As a D2 ahri main i haven´t fully figured out itemization this season, and was wondering if you could offer me some guidance (btw, a vid on ahri items would be just fantastical). Of course i have some idea on most of the choices, but i struggle especially with cdr vs pen boots and Ludens vs Everforst. I also go magical footwear (when i dont need boots for dodging early) and Demat (so i one-shot casters at 9 even when behind). Do you do cheater recalls (post-third-wave)? And in what matchups? Any input greatly appreciated^^

Glad you found the video helpful! Good questions, I am happy to answer them! I don't think anyone has really figured out exactly what to build, it is still something I am learning every game, but from my current perspective (9/2/2021), I think that Everfrost is really good in most games because it is: 1.) Easier to Build bc the components are easier to buy. 2.) It gives you an extra threat skill shot, which can be immensely valuable. The more skilled you are at using it, the more value you will be able to get from it. I wouldn't suggest new Ahri players or people playing at a lower skill to use the item if they are only concerned with current rank. Ex. If I was live-coaching someone I'd just tell them to go Liandries and worry about one less thing to focus on the more important macro parts of the game. Everfrost is the most skillful item to use, even if people do think it is lame. Note about Everfrost: Can be bad when there is a bunch of enemy players with Legend: Tenacity and Unflinching as well as when they are incentivized to go Merc Treads as well. (Ex. your team has Leona Sup, Ahri mid. its a merc treads angle for them) In those games Everfrost has less value and so it can make the other choices a bit better! I buy Liandries vs Tanks or when I know I will be the one buying Heal reduction since the combination of oblivion orb + Liandries is very strong. If I was in a lower Elo game I would buy Liandries more because the CDR from the mythic passive is more often useful to get your ult available for every fight. In my games, I can ping my team off and ping my ult and they will be more likely to wait for me to have that. Luden's feels like a 4Fun item for me. I was testing it a few weeks ago, but it sometimes doesn't hit the right targets, sometimes it's used on a minion wave b4 a trade, etc. Having a controlled form a damage feels a lot nicer to me personally. There is definitely games where it is the best Mythic for her, but it is hard for me to identify which games those are. (People talk about the flat pen a lot, but I think comparing the flat pen to the utility of Everfrost(Root and HP) and Liandries (Ability Haste utility), it is hard to compensate for that with just flat pen on a champ like Ahri who will generally need ignite to kill people no matter what.) CDR boots vs Sorc, I pretty much make the decision based on my gold income, if I am the only AP, and the pace of the game. If the pace of the game is fast I will get CDR boots. If it is slow Sorcs are better. But also if I only have 650g and I have nothing else to buy. I will probably take the instant spike over waiting. A lot of value in CDR boots is in the Summoner Spell ability haste so keep that in mind as well! This haste can get u an edge in some lanes when your ignite comes up faster than theirs and they don't expect it. ----------- I have some VoDs where I do cheater recalls, but lately I have not been doing them. I prefer to get prio waves 1,2,3 vs melee's and getting a deep deep ward and literally finding exactly where the enemy jungler is. Once I know where the enemy jungler is, I play accordingly. For example, if the enemy jg is gonna gank top, then I am going to push and protect my toplaner from that gank (Hover topside if it is feasible). If there is a scuttle crab fight possibly, I am going to fight for the push and then time my next push in with the scuttle spawn. I am very much so a Ahri player, that focuses on using my control in the midlane to effect the rest of the map. I do not solo kill very often, there are other Ahri players who actually play much different than I do and make it work as well. I prefer to go for more controlled plays with my teammates and following up with them because then my spells are a lot easier to land and be a winning outcome. But to answer your question, The most important matchup I would cheater recall in would be Kassadin. The reasons I'll list here can be applied to other matchups if you see other champs. 1.) Kassadin actually trades with you, compared to other melee champs like Katarina, or Qiyana. Kat or Qiyana shouldn't be able to trade with you since you are building up a huge wave. 2.) He often takes TP so if you let him drain out your resources he will tp back and its doomed. 3.) The best way to deal with Kassadin is to gank him, and if you push 3 and cheater recall then the wave will be coming back to you and allow you to hold a freeze for an easier gank. Alternatively to #3: invading the enemy jungle is also a way to deal with Kassadin, so if that's your junglers plan then play your lane accordingly to get push and move in.

Jack is right, i usually ban Kassadin. If I'm fifth pick on red side I sometimes ban popular strong champs like Veigo, Xin, Lee, Gwen. People are less likely to blind pick kassadin in Challenger so it gives me a but of room to change sometimes. Why is there so much damage on lvl 3?

Since he is going into my minion wave and auto'd me he is tanking 3 minions and the cannon minion for a while. Also, electrocute is a big portion of the damage.
