Q.2 Visit two laboratories. Find the system of locating items of chemicals from different locations of stored materials. Answer: In Government High School Chauburji Gardens chemistry laboratory was designed for individual research groups with walls separating the laboratory and support space. Group sizes ranged from 2 to 10 people, and most groups were completely self-contained, each with its own equipment and facilities. All chemical containers were appropriately and clearly labelled with the following information: Name of substance Hazard category (e.g. corrosive, flammable, oxidizing, and toxic) Government High School Baghbanpura's practice was to locate fixed elements such as laboratory chemical hoods and sinks at the perimeter of the laboratory, ensuring maximum mobility of interior equipment and furniture. The central part of the laboratory was configured with sturdy mobile carts, adjustable tables, and equipment racks. There was also no compromise on the rules of storage chemicals, but there was very small vessels or sample vials containing hazardous substances, such that individual labelling was not practicable, so these were secured within a secondary container such as a rack or tray which was labelled as above.
