Assalmu Alaykum brothers, Jazak Allah Khair for these reminders. I’ve recently went back and watched every single Chai with my Bhai podcast (except for the one in Urdu) I have a question regarding Dua’s. I believe we were told by the prophet ﷺ to make Dua and also do your best to achieve what you’re asking for. You can’t just make Dua to Allah to get a job but you’re sitting at home all day and not even trying your best to actually get a job. My question here is regarding the issue of Palestine, as you mentioned Dua is the believer’s most powerful weapon but what can we actually do to help our brothers and sisters in Gaza? I understand charity is a huge part as well as raising awareness on social media. What are good ways to raise awareness without protesting? (Living in Australia). I have a few friends that have joined protests because they believe it’s raising awareness to the government to change their stance etc and they also say that they can’t just make Dua only, they have to physically do something as well as Dua etc. I have yet to join a protest as I’m aware of the haram things that’s taking place whether it’s free mixing, neglecting prayer etc I almost feel guilty when I get asked to join a protest and I say I can’t. But at the end of the day I wanna please the creator not the creation. So what’s the best way to physically help our brothers and sisters in Gaza since we can’t actually get into Gaza to do Jihad? Jazak Allah Khair.

What you can do to the best of your abilities , in Palestine case , make dua , finish Quran for them , send money and boycott Israel products and have patience

Instead of protesting tell them to set up dawah stands and Give dawah and educate people on islam and Gaza. This way those thousands of non muslims gathered for protesting can go to the Muslim stands and chat instead of the Muslims joining the protests and wasting time shouting at the tyrants. Draw the non Muslims to the truth by sitting up dawah stands.

What if a lack of hope in Allah answering our duas stems from us knowing that Allah is Just and He punishes for sins? And we acknowledge the sins we have done and therefore believe these may be barriers from Allah answering our duas? Which in turn almost seems like not having good thoughts of Allah

The fear of punishment is fine but should not interfere with having good thoughts of Allah. As Imran mentioned, make taubah before making dua.
