I wonder if the inner part of the ear that looks all raw and chopped up will eventually heal and look “normal” again?
@viviennejordan2152 жыл бұрын
If it looks red and sore, as there is so much wax in the ear, it presses against the ear canals. This can cause pain, and the blood vessels are near to the surface of the skin, so we see redness. Redness can be inflammation also. Once the ear is cleared of wax, the pressure is gone, so the redness will calm down, and the skin should go back to normal.

I worked for Schott AG for years, and part of my job was inspection and measuring things. That plug was a solid 230 mm (2.3 centimeters) and some of the small outshoots were about 250 to 270 mm easy. That ear canal before the eardrum was widened out hugely for the small entrance and cartilage portion of the ear canal. Of course the otalgia (Ear pain) was bad, it (Keritas Optrans) had increased the size by one third or more. They needed to get back to an ENT to check it out before the skin clogged it up again.

Holy Moly! That was HUGE! Fantastic job removing that Neel! Very cool to see a different kind of forceps too. Question: How can you tell the difference between keratosis Obturans and a cholesteatoma? TYFS Cindy'
@viviennejordan2152 жыл бұрын
Hi, a Cholesteatoma can be caused by a Retraction Pocket on the eardrum, causing skin to collect there. Eustachian Tube Dysfunction can affect pressure behind the eardrum, causing the top of the eardrum to Retract. Cholesteatoma can form in the ear canal, if there is a dip in the base of the ear canal, a cavity. Wax/skin can amass there, and a Cholesteatoma form. If someone has a dip/cavity, it is Important to be kept clear of wax/skin.
@viviennejordan2152 жыл бұрын
I've bn trying to remember what the dip is in the base of the canal, it's a Crater, lol! I knew it was there, and it came to me, out of nowhere, Oh, the joys of getting older, lol! 1 second it's there, next second, it's Gawn, ha,ha,ha!

I have an ex who basically lost his hearing from clogged ears. I poured peroxide in them to see if I could get anything out, and it didn’t bubble, it foamed up and when I say as soon as I put it in there the peroxide foam shot out, like mentos in a coke. I told him he had something serious in there. I would be a qtip just at the edge and it would be redish brown. I told him he needed to go get that checked out but then I broke up with him so I don’t know if he ever did, but after watching these I hope he did, because there is no telling what huge ass plug he had in there.
