@Kvr3005 There is no set time as with a passenger train. The Sumas has run quite early, and sometimes past noon on its eastbound movement through Maple Ridge. It seems to depend on what has to be done prior to departing Coquitlam or a customer requirement along the way. It is a daily, Mon-Fri job these days. This morning the Sumas was eastbound at Pitt Meadows around 07:25. If it were more consistent, it would be easier to catch, but less fun to chase.

That's the Lepp Farm Market, 33955 Clayburn Road, Abbotsford, BC. On this day the guys had been on since about 6am so this was probably 'lunch' which I understand is very good at that location. I have to try it sometime! ;-)

A peddlar freight is a local train that takes off from it's home station and hits all of the local industries, picking up and setting out freight cars at the different locations. I seem to have had a throwback (English) moment, using the British spelling rather than the American 'peddler'. The 'Sumas Turn' fits that description and is named for it's run from the Vancouver area to the Huntington/Sumas crossing on the Canadian/USA border. Thanks for asking. - James

I'm sorry lol, but at 3:13 I had a chuckle when all the guys wadled out of the engine followed by the noobie in the yellow vest looking quite slim. I guess he knows what his future looks are already..lol.

Don't think I've ever seen a green CP locomotive like that before! Also neat to see those old semaphores as well. Nice Video.

+AmtrakGuy365 Thanks for your comments. The semaphores are still in place but inactive.

You probably have red-green colorblindness.

The Train doesn't. Perhaps they do at American Customs, but that's beyond the scope of my involvements.

Perhaps they are merely interested. The same as you are with songs? And the word was "perspective".

Is some of your video not far from where my video was taken, in Mission. My video was at the London Street crossing. Not far from a place called, Jimmy's Lunchbox.
@SkeenaPacific7 жыл бұрын
The opening sequence is at 240th Street crossing in Maple Ridge with the rest at Clayburn in Abbotsford.

Quite often I see those Sumas trains pull railcars full of skinny logs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKXKpqCmiaZorJY I wonder what they are used for.
@SkeenaPacific7 жыл бұрын
Those are peeled and treated logs that are used for utility poles. They are produce by the Kanaka Creek Pole Company and shipped via CP Rail.
