Hi Kat, great video and explanation of the role. My partner and I are looking at getting a caravan to go to our favourite holiday spot and in a couple of years become campsite wardens. Our favourite campsite have already said they'd love for us to join them when we're ready! Looking forward to a new way of life - and actually living it!!

Sounds great! We've met couples who loved their holiday spots so much they got jobs there and moved in! Probably the best case scenario. What a wonderful prospect! Go get it and keep us posted! Kat

Hi, hopefully! This video really made me realise that it is relatively easy to get a site job, the hard bit is breaking out from the norm to simply make yourself available! K

Great video! Thanks Kat. You mentioned you wanted a challenge involving people's previous work experience. Here's a couple of my past jobs: Travel Agent and Department Store Customer Service Advisor... 😅

Oh come on, that's super easy! Communication skills, customer service and computer literacy. :D Kat

Hi, I'm very new to this work and have been working since October on the job, watched couple so far of your vlogs and they are really helpful. I get paid monthly, and all you say is totally right . The question I have for you and would like some advice, I went offsite for a curry away for about 3.5 hours. Left 18.00 hrs. The owner next morning said ow when it's your day off they don't mind me being away day, night. But can I tell them when I'm away or off-site of a evening, surely your allowed your own time if have to be on site night and day I would be working for about 2.50 per hour, plus I now feel trapped on site and can't go out. Advise please.

Hi, oh dear, our tip would be: check your contract, what does it say about being on call? Usually the evening on call duties are shared between the team members. Maybe it is just a case of communicating to the site owner when you are going to be off site, so there is a cover? Each site manages 'being on call' differently, some require you to be physically on site, some allow to be in the area, but having your phone on you and being work ready... Read your contract and then if you are still not sure, talk to the site owner/manager. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome! Kat

Hi Kat! Soo My experience is, I have worked in the video games industry for 28 years now for Sony, as a Lead Artist, and now as an Art Director. We are always away when ever possible in the campervan, lot of experience with camping and campsites. Myself and girlfriend have actually spoken about if we should apply as wardens because we are sick of offices and crave something different, but not sure if we could really. She works for the NHS as a Medicine Management Administrator.

Hello ;-) How lovely that you've found our channel ;-) You are not sure if you could do this job? Are you kidding me??????? :D :D :D You would make a perfect warden couple, with your girlfriend's admin experience and management experience you both have, and above all passion and love for the great outdoors! The challenge you will have to face is walking away from the life you've been crafting for years... We have a separate video where I share our experiences at navigating this huge lifestyle change kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGKmoIKjZ62SoLs It took us about a year to prepare for leaving our house, jobs and our people. Looking back at these experiences now, it was the best thing we could do. Also, bear in mind... many people will think you are mad to do it! ha ha so brace yourself... I talk about the most popular stereotypes about caravan dwellers here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJCUmax6r7ZsiJY Oh an the final word of warning: most likely there will be toilets to clean! Are you ready for this? Best of luck and keep us posted! With love, Kat and Marek ;-)
