When I was younger, I also used to experience sleep paralysis a lot, while dreaming burglars where at my door or having some kind of entity right next to me, but it stopped after my cousin told me it actually has a scientific explanation😅. It can still come back when I'm very stressed out or feel trapped, but I'm not terrified anymore and easily fall asleep again...

Thanks a lot for talking about this topic, which we might not have frequently learned in a formal class. 👍🏻 51:35 Well! 😱 I am afraid of ghosts... I suppose I can't stay in this part... 1:01:11 Ok...much better. It's science. 😎 We are ghosts in our universe and times.🥳 1:31:44 Lovely!

The strange football bouncing sound and the sound of children waking may be caused by the water hammer phenomenon. Water hammer occurs when a valve in a piping system closes suddenly, causing the moving water to slam against the valve or other obstacles, creating a shockwave. This shockwave travels through the pipes, often resulting in a loud banging noise. The sound can be startling and may resemble other noises, leading to confusion about the source.❤

❤🎉 Thanks a lot to both of you. I went through the episode again after a first vision months ago . Two small comments: first and foremost litterature cannot be blamed of anything but enlarging minds. Consequencies and actions , both negative and positive, are not conveied by the writer. It' s always a decision of the reader. Fartwise, there are a couple of films about "the petomaniac" and some of the best italian and french directors and actors performed there.🎉 Take care and carry on

Luke, thank you very much for the video! I have a quick question concerning grammar. Anna said the phrase: "They used to not serve food in the morning". I understand this is the contraction "used to". I was taught that this grammar thing in the past should be as "They didn't use to serve...". But Anna said it in a different way. What does it mean? Does it lay the sentense some emphasis or it is something else? Casual way of speaking? Thank you!

Hi Luke, thank you for this intriguing, funny, and entertaining episode! I admire how you create and maintain a positive, appreciative, and non-judgmental atmosphere in conversation, even when being skeptical (as I am), without feeling the need to convince the other person by saying 'but neuroscientists can explain many of the sensations that occur during sleep paralysis, as well as debunk the myth that we only use 10 percent of our brains…’ I never had inexplicable experiences, but friends and acquaintances did, also my grandmother told me about such stories during World War Two and my mother in law experienced strange happenings after the death of her husband. Anna is really is such a kind and warm person, with whom one can instantly feel comfortable. I like the word 'fluffodora', but not the silent deadly one 🫣

Hi Luke&Anna, fascinating conversation 🎉❤ one thing I wanted to point out is that Anna mentioned we don’t know our brains fully and we use only 10% of our brains. I absolutely agree with the former but the latter, which I believed in the past, is honestly a “psychological myth”, and has been debunked - sadly we almost use up our brains. (Would be jealous if all your lovely humor and wisdom were from just 10% of your brains😢)

Once I was walking down to my village in a hill side. The darkness was approaching.. suddenly i heard a chopping sound in a uninhabited place as any lady chopping the tree branches for grass.. When i reached the riverside down i heard thumping sound as somebody was washing the clothes on big stones. I was really much scared.
