Comix Zone is a 1995 beat 'em up video game developed and published by Sega for the Genesis. It is set within the panels of a comic book with dialogue rendered within talk bubbles and sprites, and backgrounds possessing the bright colors and dynamic drawing style of superhero comics. The concept for the game originated from a 1992 demo video for the Amiga titled "Joe Pencil Trapped In The Comix Zone", animated by Peter Morawiec. It explores how the gameplay and the comic book elements would blend in.

Say what you want about the GEMS sound driver, but when it's in a great composer's hands such as Howard Drossin, it brings some great tunes. Comix Zone is one of them and is one of my favourite SEGA Mega Drive games. Great work as always, 8-Beats VGM.

I just discovered your channel by clicking on one of your Shinobi 12" inch mixes and decided to listen to some more, with Shinobi III and Mortal Kombat being my favorites so far. Very well done, even sometimes beating the original in terms of constructing the track. Tracks on earlier carts needed to be short and you made whole tracks of those as well! I don't know how familiar you are with the Genesis/Mega Drive games library, there is a lot of good to excellent music to be found there.
