Got a $130 wired pair of headphones. At first, I wondered why they didn't feel all that different- at least until I worked out the fix. I opened the Control Panel, went to 'Hardware and Sound', opened 'Manage audio Devices', clicked 'Properties' and then 'Enhancements' in my headphone's tab. Here, I enabled 'Speaker Fill' and 'Environment', and went back to the main tab for managing my headphones, and hit 'Configure', before enabling Quadraphonic Sound. It's so, SO much better than my $50 pair that's limited to stereo that it's insane. This will mainly help those with Realtek software in their headphones, but I imagine there's similar and even better software in other pairs.
