It's surprising the vegetation is still green everywhere. We barely see autumn colors in the background. These rebuilt MACs are very tidy, so that train was a great catch. They are already super dirty, which means they are working 24/7. I love the night shots in Colbert. Everything is quiet and peaceful. Until the military train shows up. Very nice action here, thank you for the update.

It's funny, just a few days ago I thought exactly the same: It still looks more like October and not December. There have already been a few nights with subzero temperatures, though, so this shouldn't last long anymore. Catching those Macs was a great deal, I'm happy it worked. Colbert is one of my favorite spots. It is one of the few locations along the entire line that allows for night shots because of a bright light right next to the depot that supports my own light mounted to the cam.

CSX has been rebuilding MACs, so they are "like new" and probably will still be around for some time.

Yeah, you're right, it is obviously an ES44AC and not an AC44. It was probably 7756 and not 7156, hard to notice while filming at night :) Thanks!

The locomotive leading the train at 10:31 is actually UP 7756 which is an ES44AC not an AC4400CW
