"...I beat her and it was a big upset, then she beat me and I was upset!" Hahaha. No doubt. Worst kind of upset. This is such an excellent, intelligent fight, Sylvie. Your best in recollection of all yours that I have have watched. When you slammed your feet down in your ram muay I had a really good feeling about how you would perform.

Really look forward to watching your fights, and the insights from your commentary are gold. Thought your opponent looked rattled at the end of r3 and then kinda came apart when she realised she couldn't clinch or outstrike you. Vicious KO as well :o

Congratulations, it was (again) a really nice fight! I've been following you for a while now and really enjoy all of your content, I was just wondering how does Kevin film your fights? If I could give you a tip, a Gimbal is a nice tool, comfortable to film with (even using a phone) and it steadies the image as well, would be even more pleasant to watch your videos :)

Yes, we've heard this many times. He has two cameras, one in each hand. We are working on a solution. We own a gimbal, it's just not a reasonable solution at this point.

I know nothing about anything, but may I ask why you don’t use sweeps when you catch kicks, your hand eye coordination, timing, and reflexes are notch! Is it just a reach thing? I love your videos and you! Cheers from Texas.

Congratulations on the win. Brutal knees to end the fight. I think you did hit the liver, she was down for a while. I've been hit there and it is so painful.

Is there a reason you don’t fight for ONE FC, you really deserve that kinda platform imo. Or am I missing something?

Very good fight. It is still hard to imagine that this was your fight nr 244... but i have one question: why we see typically not much boxing in muay thai... what is the reason for this? or is it just your style... or was is just the style of this fight?
@thantalas5 жыл бұрын
probably because muay thai is close and long range, close is elbows and knees, long range is body and leg kicks, while boxing is mid range, a boxer can be easily encountered by kicks there were at least two legendary fights between american kick boxer champions and muay thai champions, they got their legs destroyed by leg kicks and they got TKO, they could not stand up, that's the changing point in kick box, dating from those prestige defeats they started using low leg kicks also for example in mma if you are matching a very fast hitting, dodging, opponent who is moving a lot for both offense and defense... you can get him/her with low leg kicks, they will be slow down to the point where you can dominate with your close fighting skills for example if you check the ex champ rose namajunas vs jessica andrade fight... jessica slow down the extremely fast rose with many many leg kicks, it was her strategy, she got slow down to the point she started missing and started eating hits, so she could get enough close to rose to lift her and smash her on the ground, because she know that rose got neck injury... the second time rose stood on the floor and quit mma... well it was legal but dirty thing in my opinion

@@thantalas yes I understand the range thing... but: I dont mean american kickboxing. I mean f.e. the dutch style. there is a lot more boxing... and a lot of dutch fighters can mess with top level thais. f.e. see the last One Championship main event.

Is 200+ fights normal for a muay thai career
@Animefightforum5 жыл бұрын
Not for westerners, no - for Thai's, yes. Sylvie has the most muay thai fights of any foreigner to date. 244 fights is insane.
@8limbsUs5 жыл бұрын
I hold the record for most fights ever by a westerner in Thailand, and likely have fought more Muay Thai fights than any non-Thai. 200+ fights is really a lot even for Thais, but there are Thais that claim more than 300. These claims are undocumented though, as Thais don't keep official track of their fights. I'm shooting for the world record of 471 documented professional fights, of any kind, held by the boxer Len Wickwar who fought in the 1930s-1950s.
