8mm Film of Glenelg Trams, 1960's

Some silent movie film from the late 1960's of the original Glenelg Trams on the "Bay" line - Victoria Square (Adelaide) to Moseley Square (Glenelg).
Views include Victoria Square terminus out the front of Moores department store, Jetty Road, the Goodwood Flyover, Angas Street Depot, King William Street and the reserved track.

Believe an old Glenelg Tram is at Old Tailem Town which you can visit all year round. Best to phone ahead just in case. $25 entry well worth it!

The fact that there's a bit of black border at top and bottom edges of this video make it an ideal candidate for conversion to 16:9 widescreen. If you have Cyberlink Power Director, that software includes CLPV which will adapt this video nicely to the widescreen format. What CLPV does is take only a few lines of scan off the top and bottom edges, then stretches to fit left & right edges without making anyone in the video look like they've been "raiding the refrigerator"(LOL). Somehow it keeps everything in proper proportion while fitting to the widescreen format.

Went to school in Morphetville in the early sixties, main thing I remember is the Lightburn factory.....oh and putting coins on the tram tracks
