Unlike most prideful characters, Clair is able to back up her boasts as a powerful Dragon Trainer. People seriously don’t get that she plays fair, while admiring her cheating cousin Lance. Clair is right to be suspicious and upset about losing to the player because the only other time she lost was to a cheater. Talk about skewed priorities.

It’s a bit of a meme. Lance has three Dragonite at levels lower than what they naturally evolve at. In Gen 1, he also had a Dragonite that knew Barrier, which was impossible for Dragonite to learn (and up until Gen 7, I can’t think of any egg chain that would give Dragonite Barrier), and I think his Aerodactyl in Gen 2 knew a Move (Rock Slide IIRC) that it also couldn’t learn (though I think new Pokémon have come out since then that allow an egg chain to pass Rock Slide to Aerodactyl).

Lance is a LEGEND Only a LEGEND would make half of the team DRAGONITE heck I would even do full 6 dragonite He is much stronger even than Clair because he is at the 50s and she is at the 40s but I'll give her credit where it's due I think her team has the potential to defeat maybe 1 or 2 of the elite 4 members

She won't give you your final gym badge if you win though. However, you need to do something even better. You instead need to complete her Dragon User Challenge. Behind the Blackthorn City Gym is a place known as the Dragon's Den. There is a small shrine at the dens heart that you need to go to. I know I’m 4 months late but a shiny stone can be obtained by winning the bug catching contest (although the stone is random) or you can use rock climb in national park. The last way is to purchase one from pokeathlon.
