8x8 Magnolia Way Mini Album

This is a 14 page 8"x 8" album based on the page design from my Rooster Provincial album last year. A PDF tutorial of this album is now available in my Etsy shop here:

I LOVE IT!!! so beautiful. I have been "forced"by my grandmother to take up scrapbooking and have done 4 envelope minis, 3 lapbooks and now, 3 of this kind, but i have made mine much larger(11x11 ish). 2 are Christmas presents for my stepmother and my mother-in-law and one I made for my daughter's artwork that has 12 pages! I can tell you have put SO much time and forethought into this album. I will have to try hard and reproduce this style coz it is fantastic. oh and i LOVE that nailpolish

knc1960 Thank you! I use 3/8" wide 1/32" thick magnets in N52 strength. You can find these online at kjmagnetics.com. It's item #D601-N52. I do have a tutorial of this album in my Etsy shop. Love this album and the paper collection. The finished product is so pretty and different and fun to add all your pictures to. I haven't quite got past the plain square pages and background paper, with no changeup in my page layouts. Will pick up so much inspiration from this! :) Quick question, what page binding techniques did you use, and how do you get your pages to lay relatively flat? As I can't get mine to without causing the spine or pages to bend and possibly tear over time.. oops!

Congrats! My best advice is to use social media as much as possible to get the word out and show your work and BE PATIENT. It may take a little time for your customers to find you and it's easy to get discouraged, but hang in there! Good luck to you and wishing you great success!

This album is so pretty. Do you stitch the add ons to the base page, or do you just sew them separately and score tape them onto the page? I'm stitching my first album now and learning as I go. The stitching definitely complicates the planning process. Although the end results are worth it. Thanks for any info. I have watched your sewing video.

Thank you so much! Yes, you're very right! The sewing creates a bit of an engineering headache at times! Some of the add-ons are created separately and then adhered and some are sewn directly into the construction of the page. Hope that helps:)
