I’m absolutely captivated by the 9-1-1 series, especially starting with Season 3. The show has deepened my appreciation for the actors, who brilliantly bring their characters to life in intense, high pressure, life or death situations. Their quick thinking and problem solving abilities have been unexpectedly insightful and even practical for handling real life scenarios at home.

Please is there still any hopes that abc would purchase the show 😢
@tiararoxeanne13184 ай бұрын
I'm afraid there is not. Taking over Lone Star would not add significant number of viewership, because most of Lone Star audience have already become regular audience of the main show (9-1-1 on ABC). On the other hand, they also need to increase the salary of the Lone Star casts because their original contracts have ended. With current subscription model (monthly subscription), the network's strategy is to have shows as diverse as possible, to get as many viewers as possible from various segments. If they employed pay-per-view method instead of monthly subscription, I'm sure Disney would take Lone Star over because it is a very popular show.

So, the OG 9-1-1 moves to ABC, but FOX gets to keep the spin off? What sort of network politics allowed that to happen?
@kathrynhoward41964 ай бұрын
9-1-1 costs more to make. And this is Lone Star's last season.
@tiararoxeanne13184 ай бұрын
It's not networks politic, it's pure based on economical interests: - Both 9-1-1 and LS are produced by The 20th Century, which used to be part of Fox Corporation. - Disney Corporation, a direct competitor of Fox, bought The 20th Century. Thus, Disney own 9-1-1 and LS. - 9-1-1 had been the most watched scripted show on Fox for years. Disney WANTED that show for their own cable (ABC) and streaming services (Hulu & Disney+). - Disney increased the licensing fee of 9-1-1, so made it too expensive for Fox to continue broadcasting it. - Disney took over 9-1-1 becauss Fox didn't want to pay the increased licensing fee. - Fox realized that they had to produce their own show to keep the cost low enough to make it profitable. - Fox produced Rescue: HI-Surf as a replacement of 9-1-1. - Simultaneously, Fox ended the Lone Star, because they knew it would be a matter of time before Disney increase the licensing fee of LS to crush the competition.

Terrible! Sierra so glad you left the rob Lowe family show. To put his real life nephew in your spot is beyond racist and sickening. You will reap what you sow rob lowe

What are you talking about?

Jackson Pace, the actor who plays Wyatt and has been upped to series regular, is NOT related to Rob Lowe. Please get your facts straight. While I’m sad that Ms. McClain has left the show, she has every right to ask to be paid what she thinks she’s worth and to leave if she doesn’t get it.

@@hestiaa9354wow didn't even know she was gonna leave 9-1-1 lonestar I taught they wasn't going to renew the series
@melissa12puggy5554 ай бұрын
Nothing is racist about it, that actress wanted to leave. And since Wyatt can't be a firefighter anymore, being a dispatcher makes sense... no one is replacing grace but the show must go on. Fyi don't think rob lowe had anything to do with putting Wyatt in the spotlight.
