9/11/24: Francine Continues to Strengthen; New Orleans Area to Get Hit Hard This Evening!

This is a longer video than usual covering specific storm impacts from Francine. Francine continues to grow and strengthen in the northern Gulf, with landfall late today in Southeast Louisiana. Hurricane and storm surge warnings are posted, with impacts extending east all the way into western Florida. Tornadoes will also be a hazard east of the storm track tonight and Thursday. Plus, we have two areas to watch in the eastern Atlantic and a new area of possible development off the Southeast Coast!

I'm following this because I had a 10-day vacation planned to fly into New Orleans and rent a car and drive to Biloxi, and all around Bayou Teche, and drive back down to New Orleans through Morgan City. Been planning it for months, swamp tour, Cajun country, shrimp, New Orleans sites, etc Now canceled. +I hope and pray there is very little damage and no loss of life. Amen+
