Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld earned my utmost respect that horrible day by the way he rolled up his sleeves and helped with the injured after the Pentagon was attacked.

Like 'Old School Broadcast.' Highly educated journalists non opinionated merely reporting the news. Peter Jennings was the very best. Soothing.

One of if not the worst day in American history, I was working for a government contractor at the time in Hampton Roads, Virginia and we were concerned that our building could be a target also, hard to believe it's been 22 years, a generation of folk weren't around when this happened...

This happened almost 20 years ago I can’t believe it’s been so long not a day goes by where I don’t remember this awful tragedy and all the innocent people we lost 😔🙏❤️

Amazing the difference back then in real time information vs always being connected today. So much footage and stories that were never captured that day.

First, I’d like to acknowledge how much I miss Peter Jennings with his passing in 2005 as I used to listen to him for my primary news information growing up. Secondly, I would like to acknowledge the fact that the primary responders need to be honored in addition to the victims and I recommend people go to the New York fire department communications, which can be found on KZbin to get a sense of what those, poor individuals suffered through in attempting to respond to this terrible incident. I was finishing my doctoral internship requirements at Colorado State University counseling center the morning of this incident and saw it on TV thinking it was just a movie and unfortunately I was quite wrong in that interpretation. Regardless peace to all.

This is the second posting of the original 9/11 ABC team/Peter Jennings live news. If you can get access to the original and associated comments it’s life-changing. It’s what we who were there that day learned.

These most unnecessary and annoying every half hour interruptions are a mistake.

What ever happened to that guy?! You know who. Hint: it's not Pataki.

Old Age, all these former leaders who are still clinging on to power should be in the nursing home. Biden, Trump, Guliani, etc. They need to retire, and let younger people take over

@@sarahlachman1349- I'd rather have President Biden than Trump by a country mile. Plus, I think all of the talk about Biden's age is a subtle, racist and sexist crack against VP Harris, period... 😑

The reporting that day was embarrassing, they saved nobody with their nonsense and pathetic early assumptions that made no sense to anyone...I feel bad for the people on the planes and those who thought they were safe in tower two just before the second plane hit their building...
