I love Nehemia Gordon. But I do disagree with him on the proper pronunciation of YHWH. In ancient Israel the yod, hey, and vav (waw) were used as vowels. We still see the vav used in this way. The vowel pointing (nikkudot) was added during the Middle Ages by the Masoretic scribes. And as Nehemia said they deliberately hid the pronunciation of YHWH.
