Great video! Just for sake of conversation, I would recommend that kyrian use rapid fire as the burst opener instead of aimed shot. The bonuses of our covenants combined with the high crit rates that we acquire do significant damage when using rapid fire over aimed shot

Rapid fire does more with surging shots and Streamline, but we won't be playing those in AOE once we acquire the four piece tier set and double legendary. At that point you want to use aimed shot over rapid fire as it will do significantly more dps

Just a very tiny thing, but the Dream Delver trait in the Dreamweaver tree stacks when you do damage, and lasts for 4 seconds. It doesn’t stack based on time. It also applies to everything you do damage to, so it’s not a single target trait. Just clarifying. Awesome guide overall :)

honestly once you get the legendary and 4 peice, you don't even need to use arcaneshot between aimed shots because because the 40 focus required to spend includes the 35 focus you spend on aimshot and your free aimedshots from your legendary and lockin load. But for a second let's assume we aren't getting any pocs and aimed shot has no cooldown, if you open with one arcane shot, your next four aimed shots would be empowered, than if we throw in the legendary and lockin load, these free aimshots will still count as spending 35 focus towards your 4 peice, witch would only give you more aimed shots before the next arcane shot. I don't know how sims work it out, but I imagine you would want to open with arcane shot so you next 4 aim shots proc trickshot assuming you don't get unlucky with procs. I would high advise people to download weakaura and get weakaura that tracks how much focus you are spending, if you spent anyhting above 0, your next aimshot will proc trickshot. You basicly only use arcaneshot when you can't use aimshot, when you can't stand still, or when you have 0 spent focus towards your 4 peice. During trueshot i wouldn't even use rapidfire unless you get unlucky with procs and you can't use aimshot. I also don't think steady focus is worth using over streamline if you aren't gonna have the buff up in your burst witch wasn't mentioned. Streamline is just better because it increases your dps without changing your rotation, putting in two steadyshot every 15 seconds with a legendary where you are using aimshot 80% of the time just makese things too clunky. Good Guide though, I just don't think you tested the 4 peice with the legendary enough.

Sometimes, if you have aimed shot charges you should prioritize spending those first even with stacks of precise shots up. You should really only use precise shots in order to get aimed shots back or to avoid overcapping focus

Great video, little nitpick but when it comes to the AoE opener would you not want to trueshot during the volley gcd just to have it last a bit longer?. I'm also curious how the 4 piece set helps our Aoe, aren't we just aimed shot multishotting anyway? so getting the free trickshot after pressing multishot doesn't really do much.

Sims say that you should use trueshot as your first ability so that’s why I have it listed there. You are correct, In AOE the 4 piece doesn’t do a ton for us, but it allows us to get passive trick shots in 2 target and single target fights which is it’s biggest strength

The 4p is good at aoe scenario if you have priority target, you weave in arcane shot with aimed shot ,thus giving you the split shot while bursting the prio target ,if its 2-3mob scenario its even a small dps gain. Good example for this is the Inspiring affix, the 2nd boss in SD, Goliaths and first boss in SoA etc. Note that this is a gain in specific scenarios and situations, its not a general route/tip on how to play MM . Also , great work with the guide Tracken, keeping it simple to understand and yet covering everything you need to know, keep up the good work fellow archer

I joined shadowlands couple of days ago. I leveled my hunter and am about to choose my covenant (first character). As of now I am not interested in raiding until Dragonflight gets released. But I do like to play M+ to prepare my character and have some fun until then. What covenant do I want to pick? I am fine with both Kyrian and Night Fae. But it's is still unclear to me which is better for specifically M+

I would craft surging shots for now, and scrap that for unblinking later. You’ll get all of the resources back exclept for the base item. You don’t have to go to 291 with surging shots, going to to 262 or whatever you want is perfectly fine. Don’t feel obligated to spend 200k gold on max ilevel legendaries that you’ll have to remake

Suggestion for guides and this raid tier being centered mostly around Tier Sets, It would make a longer video however imo a better video to also include another section for those that don't have the tier set yet. Even though we will all eventually get it there are some people that are just very unlucky. Read on another guide that the vigil legendary is only good with 4pc that is why.

Greetings. I figured that its increasing damage, when you cast Double Tap and open with a "Multi Shot" so you get a free "trick shot" in advance and this was pre 9.2. I couldn't test ist, since I git no 4 piece, but actually 4 piece should put this ahead even further. Before you press volley you actually get a free aimed shot and throug 4 piece you get another and then you press volley. - It will track less damage on pupets, because the damage counter starts with "Multi Shot", but this is just more dungeon like, especially when the tanks needs to gather packs. - Baseline: With Multishot in Advance of Resonating Arrow, I can put out 2 more Aimed Shots in the Resonating Arrow Window, simply by delaying Volley and still trigger Trick Shots. Hope I could make my point. ^^ Maybe you can give me some Feedback on it. Greetings

Awesome video! One question, why is the helm slot recommended over the chest slot for the Unity Covenant Legendary?

When I was making the sims for my BIS gear guide the sims indicated the helm was the best place for unity and the wrists were the best place for unblinking vigil. I believe it’s because there’s a 285 chest but not a 285 helm but I could be mistaken

Man, this helped me SO much... The one thing no one ever covers though is targeting during AoE. Do I keep the MOB with the most health targeted the entire time? Do I switch targets ever during the encounter? Is there something I am not considering?

Targeting during AOE really just comes down to maximizing aimed shots against targets above 70% health. This will make your aimed shots do 50% more damage so it’s incredibly important

@@fadidahdal1768 the answer is really: theres a 285 ilvl tier chestpiece, and only 278 tier helm (rygelon vs anduin) so if you are able to clear all content, the chestpiece would be BiS. in all other cases, it doesn't really matter

@@fadidahdal1768 Even if you only clear heroic it is still better on helm. Other guides recommend non tier slots for obvious reasons. Assuming you have access to a 4 set without needing the helm then it is better because head slot has a higher stat budget than belt, so with say 278's from vault in every slot (ignoring Mythic raid items most people wont have access to) head is the best for your leggo purely because it will have more stats than belt. Ultimately though if you won't have access to later Mythic tier bosses then chest would be the best slot because it has an even higher stat budget than helm.

Have a few questions hopefully you can clear up for me. On AoE opener I usually start with rapid fire instead of aim shot when paired with the surging shots legendary. Wouldn’t that be stronger than starting with an sim shot since your rapid fire is already damage amped from the legendary plus double tap? My second question is on soulbinds. Most people I see on subcreation are running Pelagos as opposed to Mikanikos for M+. Can you elaborate on why that is? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Surging shots isn’t played after we have 4 piece tier, this rotation is based on tier and double legendaries. Mikanos is technically higher dps, but causes resonating arrow not to line up with trueshot or double tap
