Lack of offensive production at this level has nothing to do with the hitter, and everything to do with the opposing pitcher. It is dumb to think these hitters simply did not want to hit!

Yes but they are called different things like there are no sliders in softball

There’s also back door curves that look like they’re about to hit you then paint the inside part of the plate. I’ve seen nasty knuckle balls from pitchers too. Off speed curve which maybe would be considered softballs sliders because they’re slower than a curve but faster than a change up. And there are so many different ways to throw each pitch depending on what’s most comfortable for the pitcher so two pitchers could be throwing the exact same pitch but looks different because the spin/break of the ball is different.

Fouts is going to have to carry them all year because they don't have another pitcher worth a damn; she is it! Our other great pitcher went to Oklahoma State in the transfer portal and Murph didn't go get an legitimate pitchers like the girl from Texas State Mullins who completely shutdown all of our hitters which is becoming a common theme against our opponents and the fact that after Montana Fouts it drops off so far and our hitters can only do so much to help out our now-defunct pitching. Will never know what Patrick Murphy was thinking when he went and got that experimental player over a legitimate pitcher. Yeah that's what you do Pat go get Laura essman from Michigan I mean hell they even had a legitimate transfer pitcher at Michigan that we possibly could have taken from Oklahoma before they got their hands on her and that was Alex Storako. Patrick Murphy and Allison are not getting the job done anymore recruit I thought was okay but now it's starting to look screwed up but they can't put the product on the field anymore that's worth a damn to compete in the SEC it's just gone and we need to move on from him no matter how much the boosters love Patrick we need to find somebody else before he drives this program into the ground like Mitch Gaspard did the baseball program and you've seen how long it's taken for Bradley Bohannon who is an amazing coach, to turn around. I mean I know Mitch Gaspard is not Patrick Murphy but still Murphy has a lot of influence and I hope just because he has all this influence and he's 1 / 1,200 games and he's one of the most successful college softball coaches that we've ever seen with only one national title to show for it in over 20 years shouldn't be the reason to hang on to somebody , everything great he has done is in the past . t I mean honestly since 2012 we've never really gotten back to that point honestly it wouldn't have bothered me if we would have let him go when LSU took him initially we could have moved on from him and built Bama into and even stronger program and probably would have won a few more titles. look there's plenty young coaches out there that would be a great fit at Alabama that are going to be special and I think one of them is on the team as a volunteer coach or maybe she's getting paid now but that's Ryan Iamurri who's got the pedigree she was a player on the 2012 National Championship team we can even bring in Jackie Traina as a pitching coach I mean that's just thinking out left field but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a former player to be a coach at Alabama. And I would search for the best possible coach out there whether it's a male or female but I think a female coach would be good for the softball program I told you out there in the SEC would be a good fit is Beth Torina from LSU and another code from the state of Louisiana if you can be a good fit Alabama and that's the coach for The Ragin Cajuns Gerry Glasco. There's plenty out there that they could look at and take their time interviewing plenty of good ones. I just think that Patrick Murphy run as Alabama's head coach is over. These girls are not buying into him or Allison anymore and usually by the end of the year the team split down the middle some girls like him some don't and you can't have that and they're not fundamentally sound coaches because the product they're putting on the field is not correlating to the players honestly it boils down to the players just don't believe in their coach. His ability to coach winning softball is on its way out he needs to retire or go back to Northern Iowa and finish out the rest of his career. Greg Byrnes please cut him loose it's only going to get worse for the good of Team 27in the girls on this program they deserve better this program is going too far to let it start the slide now just because the guy who built it is not the coach used to be. It's just like skip Bertman I mean eventually he had to step down as LSU's baseball coach you know he built that program from the ground-up in 16 national titles but there's a time and a place where it just doesn't work anymore and you got to step away from it and let somebody else take the reins that's what Patrick Murphy needs to do is step away as the head coach and let Alabama find somebody else to take the program over. But I have a feeling it's not going to be that easy that Patrick Murphys going to make it a fiasco

Man if Texas learned how to bunt they would have got that runner to 3rd a few times. My 11u team can bunt better then them. There trying to bunt with barrel so low, no wonder they pop up so much.
