I don't have one wit of sympathy for trophy hunters. I always consider it good news when the animals they hunt basically tears off and hands them their asses. If the hunter loses his or her life, oh well, then they had it coming. The creatures they hunt have just as much right to fight to survive.

Many many hunters eat all the meat from the animals they kill. At least in my old neck of the woods they always do. I can’t stand the thoughts of killing an animal but it warms my heart all the times my husband has been able to give meat to hungry families. So, that makes it A-ok in my opinion. There’s lots of people out there who are grateful for hunters willing to help them feed their families. I’ve seen it with my own eyes many times. I’ve seen the overworked hands of an elderly woman reach out for the packages of meat she is thankful to receive. Unfortunately, much of America are ignorant to how many hungry children exist and actually survive at times off game meat.

Meh, sport hunting can be fine if it’s used to control populations or remove invasive species and people who get permission for that tend to either eat the food themselves or donate it. There’s also sport hunting around the world designed to raise money for protecting endangered animals by allowing people to pay to hunt animals that are harming a population or can no longer reproduce which once again, most of the time the food doesn’t go to waste.

It's not a sport. It's to allow younger males to come through and breed. Older males tend to claim all the females. Resulting in the gene pool been very small. By killing the older one's. It allowed the younger ones to breed. Resulting in the gene pool been widened. So less birth defects. Meaning the specie ends up healthy and lives longer. The "trophy" is proof of what you killed. My husband is a hunter and gives all the meat to a poor Somoan family we are friends with. The wife(mother grandmother) of this large family, works her guts out and tries her best to provide. Her husband has been very sick for years. The gratitude she shows when she receives all the meat my husband has given her over the years, would maybe change your mind. Believe it or not, most hunters do eat the meat or give it to those who will. At least that’s how it goes where I’m from in Ky and Tn. Not many hunters where I live now in Ga.

Buffalo are not native to Australia and do enormous damage to sensitive wetlands. The meat is used by the local people, you have to have their permission to even be there.
