Great video David and Cayleigh. For the Oeschinensee there is also a third possibility to get there. You can start at Griesalp and hike to Blüemlisalp hut SAC and then down to the lake and Kandersteg. It's 17km and 1450 m upwards and 1700m downwards (7h 10min) and its part of the Via Alpina which does from Liechtenstein to Montreux at lake of Geneva. That's the one I would recommend to everyone who is fit enough and has some hiking experience. The you also see the lake from the top. Greetings from Switzerland, Benjamin

These are excellent hike recommendations! Thank you! I was also hiking in Switzerland last September when it snowed! Yikes! I was not prepared with correct gear, so with only three days left on my trip, I decided to hop a flight to London and pay respects to the Queen. Also, great job doing the Murren via ferrata guide less.

How bad is the drone situation in Switzerland? I'm worried every place I go is going to be ruined by people flying them.

really torn between renting a car or not for our 14 day trip coming up. Starting out in Zurich and slowly working down to zermatt and then leaving from Geneva... Any recommendations?? rely souly on trains and public transportation? or go for the car!? Hearing so many mixed reviews on what to do.
@ygm_dom6702 Жыл бұрын
Do not rent a car you do not need it. The trains and buses are awesome. Get a Swiss Travel Pass and save alot on the fares

Excellent hikes for beginners, but of zero interest for anyone who wants to die and come back. I want to die and come back. And there and a 1000 trails that'll get you there. None of these mentioned here. Still, Switzerland is the place to be for sure.

Switzerland has specific guidelines which include wild camping above the tree line. You also have to be a certain distance away from trails and buildings I believe

@@Matti_us_Alpe I wasn’t being sarcastic. I’m actually surprised that people have died there. The section we did was very straight forward and not dangerous at all. It also seemed like an established trail as there were signs for it along the trail and it was easy to follow.

It becomes almost a parody to see yet another couple diligently trying to infect us with the love for travelling and making millions for themselves in the process... but the ship has sailed. It would help to have something interesting and unique as opposed to being a faceless copy of other channels...

Thanks for the hiking recommendations, this is a big part of the Switzerland puzzle I've been trying to piece together for my 3 week trip in October. The hikes will determine how I plan each stop along the way. I'm curious though...did you guys not buy the Berner Oberland Pass to travel around the region? It would have saved you a ton of money in travel expenses.
@madetoexplore7 ай бұрын
Welcome! Yes, this is a much cheaper way to travel around the region but we typically like to rent a car because it allows us to be a little bit more flexible with our schedule and also allows to go places that are t accessible by public transit

@madetoexplore aah gotcha. That's the beauty of traveling through Switzerland....many different ways, itineraries, places to visit. Subscribed..... safe travels!
