What can I say about Jorge Luis Borges that hasn't been said before? Borges was a master and I love his short stories. And not just those in The Aleph or Fictions!
After looking at all his short story collections, I have selected my 9 favorite short stories by Borges and discussed all of them. Reading Borges is like entering a labyrinth and instead of trying to find the exit, deciding to stay in it for as long as possible.

Fantastic video on his short stories; I love that you are partial to his more fantastical ones. I wanted to say thank you! In one of your other videos, you mentioned Argentinian public television offering a lecture series by the writer Piglia on Borges. I watched all the segments, and they kept me hanging on every word. I took many notes I found brilliant how he linked Borges with Philip K. Dick and other writers. I still find Borges a rarity in the minds of so many people in the United States. I am currently in NYC, and when scholars put writers like Borges "in context," it helps in rooting their legacy in other languages. I also find some academics of "high lit" who find Borges beneath them, and I find it is because they lack the imagination and soul to inhabit the spaces he takes us to. But, eso son otros veinte pesos, as they say in Puerto Rico.

Thank you! It's always difficult to know how far to go when discussing literature because so many people want to avoid spoilers. There's a lot that can be said about The Aleph, and I might explore it in more detail in a future video.
