I really enjoy this spread. For so many years I’ve been stuck on the Celtic cross spread and often get hung up on cards like foundation, crown, and wild card. This too also utilizes (potentially) up to 10 cards and offers me a clearer reading where I’m really getting a chance to weave a story w/the cards in a way that makes sense to me. 👏🏼 awesome 👏🏼

I've been learning tarot for several years, and although each card can have so many meanings based on the basic meaning and it's hard for me to just go with one individual meaning when I can pick up intuitively many messages within one card. Sometimes the basic meaning of a card, sometimes intuitively for me it can mean totally something different from the traditional basic meaning. Something I felt like I've struggled with and yet don't know why maybe because I can see so many messages within a card and sometimes it's hard for me to put a meaning with the connection of another card in connecting the cards when one card can mean so much. Dang I hope im making sense. Any advice?

I think while it is super important to weigh the general traditional meanings and different possibilities of what it could be saying, your personal intuition is an essential tool and it is great if you pick up on a piece of the imagery that means something special to your specific situation even if its not integral to the meaning of the card

I have the exact same problem as you my dear. I something start doubting myself as i’m very aware how we project: in certain instance to stick to the literal meaning of the cards help simplifying/clarifying. It becomes trickier when several pple are involved. Or when many major arcanas get out.. i privilege decks that have figures and simple messages.

@@ghettocountry8678 ah! thank you for the hint.. will definitely check! you and me have good spiritual connection ahaha as i was considering myself exactly that: mentioning a deck in particular ;)) :D so if ever useful.. check The Parallel Worlds Tarot by Astrid Amadori! The title doesn't reflect the visuals, it's actually super readable and very 'figurative'.. precisely (easy to get). Maybe for more confirmed reader and goes more in depth: but the Visions Oracle also, by Ciro Marchetti is truly a gem.. is more spiritual BUT also warmly recommend it. The small booklet that comes with it is great. ;) Wish you best in your upcoming readings!

Are all the cards revealed before a reading? Or do you place all cards face down and do the reading turning one card over at a time...a cumulative reading. Can seeing cards in advance alter the intuition of the reading?

Is this like an elaboration of a 3 card spread? Can you do the 3 card then add the extra few to the now and future and read like that and keep pulling cards until you have a clearer vision of what the reading is?

I choose to only read the cards upright (turning them that way) as I like to look carefully at the cards, and I find the positive/negative meanings by looking at the relationships between the cards. I hope that helps.

Recently, I have come to value the layering of cards in each position in order to clarifying meanings and interpretations. (Shout out to Maria from The Tarot Shop UK.) I agree that the additional information builds confidence in the reading, be it for self or others. My only "criticism," if you want to call it as such, is that you essentially read the Future position as a continuation of the Present. It didn't seem like you were "predicting" what was to come, more like you were validating what you already knew about your business. Perhaps this was the point?

In tarot card readings, spreads are not important at all as the drawn cards are decided by “ the source “! Don’t pay any attention to the spreads. It is the cards that you draw that are important !

I kind of agree. But the spread can help the reader to read the cards.

You can't validate the future cards like you did because the future hasn't happened yet. You can forecast yes the possible future events but you read the future as if you already are experiencing it. But you haven't.. The future has yet to unfold.

You can only validate the past and present- which is why they are so important to include in a reading. The future cards will be validated in time- which is why jouranalling is so important.
