Dr. Berg, you have changed my life! It's not even about the weight (from 190 lbs to 130lbs), I am no longer obsessed with food, I have insane amounts of energy, I sleep better, my mind is clear, I no longer need anxiety medication, I look like I'm in my late 20s (I'll be 43 this year)and I feel proud of myself and my new lifestyle (over a year now)! I am sharing your videos with everyone! Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 (I haven't yet done strictly healthy keto, but I do limit the amount of carbs I eat. I mostly fast between 16-18 hours every day with a 24 hour fast every week or two...i can't imagine how much improvements I will see once I do healthy keto!

Way to go! Isn’t is incredible the absolute change in every aspect of your life? I can feel in your comment how positive your life is after discovering the Keto way of nourishing your body. My oncologist recommended Keto 2 years ago to help me with the 28 lbs of fat I gained around my midsection following radical hysterectomy and immediate menopause following cancer surgery… it worked and like you I feel like I’m 30 years old again (I’m 58) and am constantly active and sleep a deep and restorative sleep. We are Blessed to have found Dr. Berg and the life changing information he shares with us. 🙏♥
Wow, awesome testimony! I no longer eat my emotions and am rarely hungry or think about food. This summer I have been able to do 20 to 21 hour Fasting most days. Amazing at 71!

This has changed my life. 43 year old now. I have been hospitalised with treatment resistant, severe clinical depression since my early 20s. Had ECT treatment as in in patient on a psyche ward for 3 months. Didn't work. I have yo-yo'd in my weight due to eating my feelings & drinking excessively and anti-psychotic meds that defined my life. Calorie counting worked to a point... but old habits soon creep back in. Weight went down.. depression kicked in...weight went up. Rinse. Repeat. I have gone from 400 lbs down to 190 lbs up to 370 lbs 3 times since 2018. This was my last chance... this year, then I was going to give up. Everyrhing. I was done. Jan 10th... 361 lbs. On 3 prescription meds for depression, anxiety, and mynheart. Pre-diabetic. July 19th... 235 lbs (on the way to 190). No meds. I walk every day. 6 to 12 g carbs max. OMAD. Apple Cider Vinegar... I use Saunas... I use electrolytes... I use BVitamins, DVitamins I use milk thistle, riboflavin etc etc... but I eat clean keto. Salmon, eggs, chicken, chia, cottage cheese, brocolli, asparagus And now... No meds. Blood Sugar avg is 4.5. No depression. No anxiety. I sleep 7 hours and wake gladly at 5.00am I have saved my life and enhanced it in ways I never thought I would. I should and would have been dead. I'm thinking of working again. This isn't a miracle but feels like one. Calorie counting isn't enough. Slimming world is a disgrace... I've taken my time to understand and research all the processes and science behind the ketoenic lifestyle... the value of acetic acid and fasting. How vitally important sleep is. This all starts and ends in your mind. Everything else happens secondarily. Dr Berg. I thank you for your guidance. Also equally Thomas deLauer and James Smith for talking sense. This stuff works. If you meet these guys halfway...and put in the work, you can save your life. Good luck to you all. (apologies for the meandering ramble, but this is only youtube, and it's a brain dump. I am usually more eloquent than this). Again bless you all.

I am writing to you from Greece and you have changed my life. I've never been overweight, but I've gained a few extra pounds over the last decade, which I'm slowly losing. But what I did not expect is the miracle that intermittent fasting brought to the biggest problem that had been tormenting me for over 20 years or so. The very frequent (almost daily) headaches. With the omad method, which I have been following for some time, it has decreased drastically. No doctor could find the cause. No doctor thought that my insulin and glucose levels might be too high. Doctors were loading me with various pills, while there is such a simple solution for our health. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤
@margaretgibbs1007 Жыл бұрын
My headaches stopped also, amazing and unexpected. Amongst many other health benefits. My headaches stopped due to change of diet (LCHF), not time restricted eating - which I started unintentionally several months later.

@@margaretgibbs1007 That's great. I'm glad it helped you. I know that if I had put even more weight on the keto diet, my results would have been even better and faster. Anyway, I noticed a big difference. I reduced a lot of sweets, but did not eliminate them completely. Maybe I'll get around to it sometime. But omad taught me to break the bad habit of emotional eating. In recent years, I've always had a craving for chocolate and other unhealthy snacks like potato chips, etc. At least I don't have space for that now, although I sometimes treat myself to a piece of chocolate at the end of a meal. It's great to get rid of bad habits and watch how positively things suddenly change.

Minor observation. Constant and insatiable hunger (leading to obesity) is such a western thing it’s weird to read about lol. Where I’m originally from there is an abundance of grain/legumes and starch makes up the vast majority of diet and obesity (least of all morbid) is practically unheard of. It’s not fat/ketosis or carbs, it’s the lack of any fulfilment beyond the physical that leads to insatiable hunger (and other forms of materialism).

My friends laugh at me doing keto. I already lost 35 lbs since March 2023. It has been 4 months then. Both of my friends are not thin and they have big mid sections. I adviced them to do this diet, and still bugged off the idea. They are still laughing and insisted that keto is not for everyone. One of my friends did a blood test recently. He is now Prediabetic, 6.4 on his A1C, also high uric acid, cholesterol. I adviced again, they shrugged off the idea. The other friend, has heart disease. This day, they still insist that keto diet is not universal. They laugh at my progress. Now I focus on my progress and just let them be. I dont want to laugh at them or ridicule even. I'm on a ketovoire diet. It has ABSOLUTELY CHANGED MY LIFE!!! I used to be vegetarian. I was tired all the time, hungry all the time, and suffered from severe depression and anxiety. Since going ketovoire, I have experienced all of these 9 signs. The ones that really stand out to me, is the crazy amount of energy I have now, no pain anywhere in my body, no longer have gut issues, and the biggy: My depression and anxiety has just vanished! I feel happy all the time. It has been the greatest blessing in my life!!! I would encourage anyone to try it, (keto), just for 30 days. It has been amazing. I wish I had discovered this diet sooner. But it takes things to get really bad, before you find really good. Thank you, Dr. Berg, for spreading the word. ❤

My long term depression and anxiety also vanished ( not through any specific diet - but just through cutting out junk food ). Isn't it LOVELY !! I had it since a child, so I couldn't IMAGINE what NORMAL people without depression and anxiety feel. It felt like an impossible reality that I never would experience. It's amazing what food does to us !

number 9! That is the kicker for me. Cause I am almost never hungry and almost have to force myself to eat. My meals are much smaller and I am fine just even eating someting small cause I don't feel the need or want to eat and don't have any hunger pains. If exercising, I may get a grumble, but to be honest, after about 5-10 minutes it disappears and I am back to feeling satiated again. So glad I stumbled on this video! Thank you!

At age 64 and retired, I'm 7 weeks in, mostly in the education phase and beginning to lower the carb intake and eat more fats. Changes in diet plus the medications to kick start the process. I'm down from 220 to 212 (April to June). At first there was no weight loss, I actually gained 3 lbs at the start but now the weight is starting to come down. Blood sugar and BP are coming down. I definitely noticed the difference in my breath. Feeling more energetic and brain fog is lifting.

Lost 8 pounds in two weeks starting Keto. Then leveled off before losing a total of 16 pounds. I did do IF but was losing so much weight I had to stop. I continue to do Keto but can only fast12 to 15 hours a couple of times/week . Thank you Dr. Berg.
Day 33 of my 40 days and 40 nights water fast. 41.3lbs lost so far. One thing I’ve noticed is that I’m pretty acidic right now, and might be experiencing some gouty symptoms in my ankle and in my left collarbone. But then again, past couple of days, I haven’t hydrated properly either. Overall, I’m extremely happy that I started this journey, and am accomplishing what I set out to do in the beginning, which was to do a hard reset on my life. And while that had a lot to do with weight loss, it also had to do with removing toxic people from my life, social media, alcohol, and making room in my life for more important things, like learning new skills for a new career, finances, and just life in general.

Great video. I am constantly debating whether intermittant fasting or ketogenic diet is better. I think 24 hour fasting is much easier to actually do. It's more straight forward and you are more sure that you are not cheating if all you're consuming is water. But I love it when my body is in ketosis. It takes discipline, but it's highly effective. I think either or both are great as long as you eat clean.

See below why I need to check into Dr Berg's Videos on a regular basis. Back in February 2023 i was 185 Kg I watched Your videos and finally decided to give it a go. Its now July 14 and just weighed in at 152.4 Kg. Everything in this video is going on in my life now. The main battle I have had lately is that my weight loss has slowed but after watching this i realised my average 1 Kg a week is really good. I'm not walking yet as i have a tricky knee but the energy levels are thru the roof. Typically I now eat 2 times a day and the hunger signals are now very weak. A drink of water will put them to sleep for over an hour and this never happened before. When i do this i'm get a mental boost because I know that is when i'm burning fat. Doctor took me off my Diabetes meds as i showed him an average of 6,0. Surprisingly cholesterol is really good 4.6 last week.

So, here I am doung keto, seeing if that works to get me down

@@Mary-lj2uu sadly, with all the birthdays and vacations I’ve been on, I’ve stopped the keto diet but I started again yesterday. I did it for 2 weeks straight and lost 9 pounds. I recommend for you to add in one 24 hour fast each week and going in a calorie deficit, that will definitely help you in losing weight. After about a week and a half, losing weight will definitely slow down but don’t worry, it’s still working because it’s getting at your fat storages and not just the water weight so keep doing it, being keto was one of the best things I have done to lose weight, it made me feel so much better and a lot less bloated, but I would also throw in a small cheat meal once every 2 weeks so you don’t torture yourself 😅 keep up your good work!

It is so important for us to keep in mind that sugar causes us to hold onto water. We only credit salt with holding water. The fact that we have 3 grams of water per gram of sugar stored on our body is vital info. If I eat an extra 2 or 3 grams of sugar everyday (so 23 grams of carb), although I may be able to remain in ketosis, if my body doesn't need them, I end up storing 9 grams of water because the sugar will be stored! That's a total of 12 grams storage each day. In one month, I'd gain a pound. These are the details we don't know that allow us to undo our success.

Dr Berg has helped me understand my body much better. Most of my life; I've been very thin and rarely get hungry. In fact for me, the problem is actually eating in the first place. This was always a very confusing experience for me, because most people I know have to watch their appetites because they can eat and eat and eat. I just can't do that! When I go to a restaurant, I can only eat half of the meal, I save the rest for another time, etc. I never understood why until I found Dr. Berg's videos. See, my dad died when I was a child and my mom had to work all the time; so I basically fed myself. So, growing up, I ate very rarely; because honestly I was much more interested in video games. There was a period of time, I would wake up and just eat bacon and eggs. Looking back; it makes a lot of sense that I wasn't hungry - I must have been in ketosis. It wasn't something wrong with my body - it was the fact that since being a kid; I ate few carbs, and rarely ate 3 meals a day. So, I must not have felt hungry because I was not consuming enough carbs to be hungry like other people. Nowadays I've confirmed this because, if I wake up and start eating carb-heavy food straight away; then I get much more hungry and I can eat a lot of carbs throughout the day. But its kinda funny how to become hungry; one has to eat...

In my case I am also a very thin, but always hungry and eat at least 3 times per day. Have some insulin resistance, and I feel like if I'm start this keto thing I would die because I have no visual fats.

Even a super thing person has fat available for the body to burn, I wouldn't worry about it. Eating carbs is a life of suffering. Once you get off them, you realize that they were causing most of your stomach and bathroom problems. Personally when I don't eat carbs like bread and rice and sugar, I have almost no problems. That in itself is quite motivating to be honest... having pains in the bathroom sucks!@@vadymvv

SPOT ON. Keto changed it all. I was 280 at one point and now I'm 235. Living off eggs, ground meats, cheese and veggies. Cutting sugar was so hard and of course I fold. It's okay to eat more carbs than you should one time. But don't let it be a reason to stop the diet. Just start again instead. SO much of it is mental. I was eating insanely poorly. It was bad. Nightly heartburn. Bloated stomach and face 24/7. Extreme binging. Day 2 of Keto I got those flu symptoms sooooo bad. Spent all night crying and throwing up. More emotionally crying because wanting to look thinner is a struggle if you've been big for years. Realizing it might be successful this time around is enlightening. I'm disabled and realized if I want less weight for my bad legs to carry, got to lose the weight. Quit vaping, started keto, and the gym 3 times a week. Consistency truly key. So yeah, if you see this doc thanks for putting out all this accurate information that clearly inspires so many to be better versions of themselves. I hope everyone has nothing but success in losing weight this way!

I have a question for Dr. Berg (or maybe anybody with knowledge). I know that Dr. Berg speaks against Sugar and I have cut back on sugar SIGNIFICANTLY thanks to the "What Happens If You Stop Eating Sugar for 14 Days" video. But, I go to the Saint Louis Bread Company (aka Paneras), and they have a drink there called "Charged Lemonade: Plant Based", and every time I drink that, I feel WAYYYYYYYYY better!! I could think better, I have more energy, my creativity comes back, I do feel more charged and I get a BIG boost from that and I tend to feel more alive. Heck, try it out yourself if you're at the Saint Louis Bread Company/Paneras! The thing is, this drink has sugar in it. And maybe an unhealthy amount. But, I sure feel better after drinking it. Hence, I was wondering what that drink have in it and could there be some less sugary alternatives that could give me the same boost that I talked about above? I like those drinks because for some reason, they again help me with my creativity when I make my music, etc.
