Interesting concept. The way crits synergize with the decklist. Also the fact that you're running anything other than draws is also interesting. Starter fills the field for scissor's crit condition without committing too much hand, and since there are so many cards that you rather call than draw makes running non-draw make sense as well

I basically just followed Zura's decklist in JP. I think he is usually in top 100 in rank. I did change a few things up. That 5k card to draw, I replaced that with 1 dimdrane. I used the newer pg instead of the older one. Also yeah Saphir is such a key card and I'm glad he is cause he looks good too lol.

Zura usually limit denies all the matches but I don't quite like damage denying. I don't like wasting attacks. Of course if I'm not ready for opp limit break I'm damage deny. Like if I only have 1 pg against a Galaxy Blau limit break, I would damage deny. Most times when I first ride Scissors, I fill the board and have a crit ready. Usually you just keep all cards in hand until you are ready for limit break, kind of like Aqua usually. I run 12 self damagers to enable that first g3 ride into limit break crit.

The 5k is less of a dead card if draw in hand. Damage deny is very situational but is a key aspect of the LB meta. With that said, I don’t feel that Ezel is a deck that most suits that approach. It doesn’t have a “big combo” from 3 -> 6 and also no consistent way to 3 crit and pull out PGs or lethal from the opponent. Just my two cents 😅

@@EntropyVanguard Just to answer your question at the end of that friend fight, 9 Draws would've won you the game. If you had 9 Draws one of those missed crits would've been a draw which would give you the additional card in hand needed to use Minerva without soulblasting the Chammomile, soulblasting the Chammomile then meant needing to go heavy on the SC2 witches trying to soulcharge the other Chammomile which is what burned the rest of the deck.

Love it, been playing scissors a bit too. Went with 9 draw because I didn't like to play crit on vanguards that can generate their own crit. You make a lot of sense with the point on cheap value and over-drawing (nearly decked myself out a few times), will definitely try out a 9 crit or crit/draw variant 👍

Yeah! I was scratching my head with 9 draws: the deck is slightly more consistent but doesn’t have the push to end games before deckout at times. Hopefully trying a different approach to the trigger lineup would help you too 🙏

@@EntropyVanguard Probably 9 crit as you suggested makes the most sense, especially with the new pgs, you're either pushing a lot of damage or denying LB. I guess some decks are destined to have awkward trigger selections.

I play 1 copy of Gareth instead of Disciple of pain because it makes Saphir a 16k column and BBS or BDS a 18k column. Also because on some occasions, I use Caria's skill and get Gancelot Zenith, recycle it, and call a BBL in that column (or in a White lion booster column) which might get me an extra hit on my opponent. And that can't work to it's full effectiveness if a 6k disciple of pain is there instead of a 7k or 8k booster.

Hiring numbers is important and I can respect that. With that said, the 9 crits does mean that drawing into the self damagers is relatively uneasy. I value the LB4 enable over the numbers, you value the numbers.

my personal G2 and G1 line up is G1: 4 Lib PG, 3 Dindrane, 6 Self damager G2: 4 Tripp, 2 BBL, 7 Spirits the rest are the same as yours

Assuming you are playing 9 crits as well, Tripp instead of Saphir is a bit stronger early game but hurts when your opponent has double intercept since you want to go RG -> RG, RG -> RG, VG -> VG. This means that the frequency of countercharging is quite low. No g2 self damagers is alright if you play more g1s and play less defensively early game (face tank)

Crits is interesting might test it out but a ezel player used zenith to try to finish me but the card he superior call top deck was pellinore so his zenith attack got screwed so instead of doing 4 attacks he gets only 3 attacks with a crit vanguard i was at 5 so he needed more attacks than a crit attack so i won cause of his pellinore top deck nice

I’ve tried stands and the low power columns don’t make it suitable. Too many 6ks and 8ks to make good use of them from my experience. Maybe a more Platina centric build could make better use of them!

The RRR packs can be used for any gacha, not just this set only. It’s a great idea to farm them and save those RRR packs to spend on future sets!

Zenith is valuable for the end game, but is obviously not an Ezel XD The g0 is particularly iffy if you’re going second, but it’s quite a threat going first. It’s a shame it doesn’t call them in stand position :(

What's the difference between the new and old pg's? Aren't they the same but the new one just has the liberator name?

No no no! Old PGs proc when it’s lethal (5->6) or an attack that will put you one dmg away from lethal (e.g. 3->5). New PGs only proc for lethal (5->6). An old strategy to prevent LB4 was to put your opponent at 3 and just use 2 crit attacks. With the new PG, you can’t do that but risk being put to 5 earlier! Generally LB4 and Break ride decks prefer the new PGs.

Anytime! Important to note some clans only have one type (eg Genesis, Murakumo, and Nubatama), so be sure to read the text and activation conditions! For packs, I can only say play the game. Do your missions, events, VP, ranked, etc. and most importantly be frugal! Plan out and budget what you’re doing to spend! Good luck 🤞
